people debating about omnisphere is hilarious..... yes omnisphere isnt cheap but what do you get? massive sounds, synthengine, presetwhorefriendly blablabla, and the updates within v1 would have been sold from other companies as paid updates! the edm library would have definitely been sold for $50 as well from others. the support is asap so far for mr. the thing is stable etc. etc. i dunno what some people expect
omnisphere even shits on the whole products of sample logic and if you would buy 2 sample logic products you have already omnisphere but just scratched the surface with it

Seems to me that Spectrasonics is doing fine and most people are being patient because they understand these things happen. What you call low standards we see as the reality of worldwide networking. You'd be wise to learn something about that for future endeavours. I'm still waiting on the download myself trying every once in a while to get a spot and finding other work to do. It's not the end of the world.Hans25 wrote:And very soon you would be out of business..

Guys, guys... c'mon...Were were any of us actually expecting anything else then the Spectrasonics site crashing and burning today due to the immense high traffic that today would bring? When taking all the anticipation of this release into account, it seemed to me the most likely thing to expect.

I am very tempted to start a thread that may produce 100 pages of replies, but I would leave this honor to somebody who already went through the trouble to buy, download and install the product. I never bought Omnesphere 1 and still not sure if Omnesphere 2 is right for me. I have many hardware synths and several software romplers. But it not going to get any better any time soon- not waiting to Omnesphere 3. The time is now. I just need justification to spend that much money for something I already have. Thanks.Of course you're equally as welcome to start that thread in the form of a query.

Are you sure you want to rely on impressions that are based on 1-5 hours of playing with "the new toy"?Astralv wrote:The time is now. I just need justification to spend that much money for something I already have. Thanks.

puh, "nice" to see it isn´t only me who got this message (bought 2 days ago online, received and registr. today)Mescalito wrote:Hi some problems here
I bought omnisphere 1 this month and registered it yesterday.
Now it says: "According to our records, the Omnisphere serial number you entered is not currently eligible for this upgrade"
what did i make wrong, have grace-period upgraders to wait... or just an error ?
thanks
got the horror-thinking that I was fooled by the shop...
so me heart returns to a normal beat-tempo, and together with you Mescalito we should hope that we´ll get it in the next days

Hmm... don't see how I can select the download location on the mac... So I get the dreaded token validation error...
Can someoneone clarify if you download 18GB once it will work on both OSes?
On my PC I got the token error until I clicked on about and picked a download location...

You can only choose a download location if the initial server request goes through. Else it will just say "server error". Anyway - from the mail - did you read:elipsis1 wrote:Hmm... don't see how I can select the download location on the mac... So I get the dreaded token validation error...

You kids are killing me. Seriously, if you haven't already, just forget buying it on line and find a good retailer. In a few days you'll have it in your grubby little hands and bypass all the frustration. Look at me! All grow'd up!
