Is there any release date for new zeb GUI? Did I missed it here? I think, that before christmas Urs mentioned end of January, so maybe end of March?
Zebra 2 is quite old procuct, but still great sounding, with great possibilities and new GUI can still help u-he to find out new customers..

Of course, I do not want to push Urs, quality on the first place.
But at the end of year was mentioned January and also released video with the new look, so it should be close. Questions are based on provided informations, that is all.

It's done when it's done and it will get released when they want to release it

Urs, is it true that the Zebra 2 gui update will only be for Zebra 2, and not Zebra HZ?

The answer is somewhere between Yes and No.rosschehayeb wrote:is it true that the Zebra 2 gui update will only be for Zebra 2, and not Zebra HZ
At this time, we're only working on a Zebra2 version. Just so that we have something ready and can roll it out as soon as possible to see what people think about it. It's very likely that we'll do a ZebraHZ version as well, because it would be a sensible thing to do, but we haven't talked about it yet and no decisions have been made. We'll also have to see how we could schedule a potential ZebraHZ version in with other projects that are currently happening.
So I'm afraid there's nothing definitive we could say at this point.

If and when you do a ZebraHZ GUI please keep the dark colour scheme. Maybe a bit more colour.
I really like the vector knob design in Zebra. Keep it. Please don't add 'realisiic' knobs. Please do not mix 'realistic' knobs with vector knobs. Keep the vector knobs the way they are designed now.

Thanks for that info.
But I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with you about the knobs, spunkmuffin. Having some sort of differentiation between regular knobs and modulation knobs is a huge improvement in my book. Helps to sort things out much quicker. Also, in the sound design phase, your attention is drawn to the different modulation knobs, which reminds me that I can use them, which results in a more varied finished product.
Not everything is about how it looks. It's about how the look causes you to use it that's important I think.

We talked about ZebraHZ today and we're sure we'll have an update for that as well, maybe once the current skin is tried and tested in the wild. Maybe, say, a month later.

rosschehayeb ok, but why can't you have 2 different styles of vector knobs to differentiate function?
Also in that new video you have the regular knobs in a single row and the modulation knobs in a seperate row directly below. So different knob function is strongly suggested by different row position.
You could make the 2nd row knobs a different colour to differentiate them but still keep the knob design consistent. There are quite a few things you could do to differentiate knobs while keeping knob design all vector.
Also looks are not just about looks, and looks do matter.

While I'm jetlagging my head off, I thought I'd continue an old tradition and post a little teaser:

"as seen in the video"

"as seen in the video"

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! The old vector knobs are gone! That's terrible! The new little knobs have little increment lines drawn all around them. Ugly. It makes them look like little sea urchins or naval mines. I don't want to touch them. Yuck!

I like the feedback you keep with the users and even more when we keep them quack on certain topics.
On the other hand, I would like to see a more "flat" design of Z2, or even change the design of the knobs (maybe like Serum). But anyway, it's just a matter of taste. Greetings.

In the Envelopes v-slope is the little ball in the slider still there? I love that little ball! Don't tell me you killed the little ball!
