If you haven’t done it already, you need to move the licenses out of the cloud and onto your iLok.

Razzia:
I assume you don't have an ilok dongle? That's basically the 'loading' screen while they ping UA Connect/Ilok Cloud, or at least that's what I've surmised.
I actually have a iLok dongle, it seems weird that the plugins would need to phone home?
I've also had the experience where opening a project with UAD plugin's, A UAD installer would launch and announce that UAD connect needs an update.
Both are annoying. Evidently, the price you pay to make sure your plugins feel safe.
Luckily I've never seen the update popup but I tend to just leave UA Connect running so the one or two updates I've done were before I was even in the DAW.. I do get the blurry screen for a second though first time I open a plugin, and I've got all of my iLok stuff on a dongle too. Only happens the first time for each plugin though.

Hmmm. I had the Google Gemini do a similar comparison and the list looked a lot like ChatGPT. UAD was top, followed by Plugin Alliance with Waves bringing up the value for money part.

Why? (Aside from needing to be online to use Cloud, of course.) I already moved my licenses onto two iLoks instead of using Cloud, but it seemed to work fine while I used it.

Are you guys seriously considering this as having any sort of credibility or even just merit whatsoever to it? :-o

But go on... feed the monster - very smart, really smart.

According to Copilot these comparison charts created by Google Gemini and ChatGPT can be credible and have merit, but it's important to consider a few factors:

Accuracy: Both Google Gemini and ChatGPT are advanced AI models trained on vast amounts of data, which allows them to generate accurate and reliable information. However, the accuracy can vary depending on the specific task and the quality of the data they were trained on1.

Bias: AI models can sometimes reflect biases present in their training data. It's important to critically evaluate the information and consider potential biases.

Updates: Both models are frequently updated, which means their performance and accuracy can improve over time. Staying informed about the latest updates can help ensure you're getting the most accurate information.

Context: The context in which the comparison chart is used can also affect its credibility. For example, a comparison chart used for general information might be less reliable than one used for technical or specialized knowledge.

Overall, while comparison charts by Google Gemini and ChatGPT can be credible, it's always a good idea to cross-check the information with other sources and use critical thinking when evaluating the results.

Anyone know if Uad bring back different bundles? In October plug-in boutique had a UAD producer edition mk2 and it had literally all their plugins I was interested in. Some other financial obligations got in the way so I figured I’d grab it next time but this sale season they never brought back the mk2 edition for offer.

So UA Connect forces itself to launch when you run any ua plugin, then it promptly uninstalls itself

I've never observed it uninstalling itself, so it's actually worse than that!

Yes, this is the way it works - you have to either uninstall it yourself or rename the UAC file.

You're having to re-download UA Connect? That doesn't seem normal, unless you're manually uninstalling it. I would contact UAD support...

I wish they'd make more plugins native. I guess the amps and verves, but those are just new plugins. I'd love to see the cooper time cube and moog filter native, for example. Another compressor or eq is the last thing i need. I'm over all these sales which amounts basically to the same thing in different promotional guises.
