nitially touted as the "fastest compressor in the world" due to its remarkable 20-microsecond attack time, the iconic hardware that inspired our FET Compressor Mk II holds widespread acclaim and has left an indelible mark on numerous hit records. With its FET gain reduction stage, Class A solid-state amplifiers, input and output transformers, distinct aggression, and pleasing distortion, the allure of this classic device is undeniable.

The FET Compressor Mk II retains the original's essence and character while seamlessly integrating with modern DAW-based workflows. While the market may boast over 1176 emulations of this compressor, our meticulously crafted FET Compressor Mk II stands apart with its signature Softube sound quality, enhanced features, and expanded control.

Built on a foundation of expertise and a legacy of emulating professional audio equipment spanning two decades, our collaborations with esteemed brands such as Tube-Tech, Solid State Logic, Chandler Limited, and Marshall Amplification underscore our proficiency in translating analog standards into software excellence. FET Compressor Mk II is a testament to this legacy, ensuring that the classic character of the original hardware remains intact while offering superior sound quality and contemporary enhancements.

FET Compressor Mk II captures the lightning-quick, bold character of its hardware inspiration, now complemented by modern features tailored for DAW-centric workflows. You have the flexibility to utilize two distinct drives – FET and transformer – either independently or in tandem. The inclusion of Dry/Wet and a Sidechain section empowers you with greater control for mixing and mastering. The Stereo Link enables seamless transitions between Stereo Linked mode (syncing Left and Right gain reduction) and Unlinked Dual Mono mode (independent control for Left and Right channels). The High Frequency Make-up feature compensates for minor high-frequency losses during compression, proving invaluable for various sources, including vocals, snares, kick drums, and guitars.

Icons: The Compressor Collection is a treasure trove for those seeking classic compression tailored to modern workflows, featuring meticulously captured compressors that have defined industry standards and stood the test of time.

Furthermore, the FET Compressor Mk II is Console 1-ready, seamlessly integrating into our comprehensive mixing system.

My favorite FET compressor plugin. The additional controls on the bottom make it very versatile. Still doesn't have a bypass for whatever reason.
