Customers gets very good deals, while the company makes some money, so everyone wins. More companies should take a similar approach.ghettosynth wrote:No, I read it, that's what I mean. I think probably too many of us just grabbed the meter for free last month. I mean, I don't blame them. I didn't even want to grab a freebie, but, at the time, I couldn't see anything else and I didn't want the coupon to go to waste if it could get me a free plugin.
"The response to our customer reward voucher program has been incredible, thank you so much! This month we’re trying something a little different by offering an array of plugins over the course of the month for under $20 each! This will allow you to build a custom bundle with awesome savings. Add on your $10 personal monthly voucher and save even more! So this month it’s deeper deals on plugins combined with lower personal monthly voucher values. Do you like this approach? What would you like to see from us? Comment on our Facebook page to let know your thoughts!"
Really, I get their approach. They want you as many people as possible to buy something every month, free plugins don't really do anything for them. Loop Loft uses a similar approach. Always something on super sale, always something free with purchase. Rarely an opportunity to get the entire basket for free, so, you have to spend some money.

They must have noticed by now that a $9 plugin allows you to game their system by buying it multiple times in order to get the bundle discount up.ghettosynth wrote:They lowered the value of the voucher to try to curb people just buying one plugin for zero dollars. As of yet, I see nothing for $9.

My voucher was $25 this month but I have most of the plugins already on offer and not really that bothered about the guitar stuff.
would have gone for the spl drum xchanger if my voucher was $50 like it was last month.

I'm sure. I've used the trick multiple times already. Still, I think that they'd rather see you do that than to not give them any cash.mgw38 wrote:They must have noticed by now that a $9 plugin allows you to game their system by buying it multiple times in order to get the bundle discount up.ghettosynth wrote:They lowered the value of the voucher to try to curb people just buying one plugin for zero dollars. On Edit: It also looks like the facebook coupon is no longer valid, or, you could only use it once.

They're not hardcore about the first of the month, IIRC, it took a few days last month.shonky wrote:Will wait for the Easter deals at PA.
Still nothing from Focusrite though, does anyone know when they usually announce the giveaway/deals?
As far as the Easter sale at PA, it must be bx limiter, no? 88% off of retail at $19 means about $160 give or take a few pennies and they only have one plugin priced at $160.

Well I'm out then, that $25 voucher nulled the tax which was the only saving grace for us EU peeps IMO.

Well, I just got a different answer from XLN Audio customer service:Uncle E wrote:XLN confirmed that you can buy Custom XL even if you already own AD2:hoth wrote:I also wanted to buy the XL pack as it seems like such a great deal. I own AD2 and a couple packs. But then it says on the website that it's for new customers only. Thanks AD.

You can't buy it directly from XLN but if you purchase it from a reseller, it will allow you to register it. Just did that yesterday without any problems.Ryan99 wrote:Well, I just got a different answer from XLN Audio customer service:

I wrote again to XLN after your message and already got a reply:mgw38 wrote:You can't buy it directly from XLN but if you purchase it from a reseller, it will allow you to register it. "I'm not sure which retailer this is, but as far as I know we do not tell retailers that customers that own AD2 can buy the AD2: Custom to get more products. What we may have communicated in the past is that for a customer that owns AD1 they can get the AD2:Custom instead of getting the AD2 upgrade (but then their old AD1 kits will not be available in AD2). I totally understand that you, as an existing customer, also would like to purchase product bundles. I will definitely forward this to the guys in charge. You are not the only one who has requested this."
