Yes, by default those banks are filled with dummy.txt. However, I have deleted the dummy.txt files and filled those banks with real patches (there are thousands of them available for free on the internet). This is what I have in my wizard file:

The credentials I set up on smproaudio.helpserve.com do not work with the above links. I'm guessing those links are meant to be used by SM Pro Audio staff only (given that they contain the word "staff" in the URL). 8)

Hi guys.

I started to fool around with Wizard Files and the idea of writing my own application that could generate them for any plugin, but I need some advice from experts here to help me truly understand everything that a wizard file can contain in order to complete this.

Anyone interested in helping out ?.

Regards.
Sharp.

Sharp,

Thanks for the link, when you get ready to do a test run please keep me in mind, I'm so frustrated with this box! probably should have waited for much better software before purchasing, the videos on how to make a Wizard file are a joke, all of those actions necessary to get a running file should have been in the VFX soft before it was released. I'm really not interested in the free VSTi or VST's they seem to keep pushing, I think most people will buy, or have bought this to play the Pro made instruments and effects. I believe the future for a product such as this is bleak at best unless these problems are addressed.

Have a look at

Open Labs - Karsyn. This is exactly the same software as Brainspawn Forte.
No need for wizard files, transpose up & down, keyzones, load fxb's and fxp's, even programs changes in ProteusVX are supported. The older version of Forte 1.6 runs in wine.

Compared to the VFX software forte is rock solid and very user friendly.

A friend of mine bought the receptor2 and the software is a lot better compared to VFX.

Wanna be scared? Do you like ghosts or similar???

Try this....

import in VFX soft the plugin MIDI Note Trans from the ndcMIDI v1.30 plugin pack (since V-Machine still doesn't have a transpose function, this is the way to do it).

You don't need any wizard file....

....apply this transposer plugin to B4demo or VB3 and.......surprise and terror!

:o :o :o

Please, do it late at night, alone in your studio to get the best result.

Try it at your own risk...

:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Sharp,

That's a great idea, and laid out very nice also. One of the main problems with the creation part of a vfxinfo file that was left out of their own development was to get all of the added components of the VSTi to come along with the dll within their own software, you are completely on the right track. The only other thing I could possibly add that I didn't see from the video, was to make sure that complete folders could be added or imported to the file also, but I'm sure it is probably already there. Great work!

Holy macaroni..
It found it's way out from the VFX through the speakers, bounced at the walls and hit me from both sides…
I totally agree, it's scary….
