UAD still worth it?

I wish they'd make more plugins native. I guess the amps and verves, but those are just new plugins. I'd love to see the cooper time cube and moog filter native, for example. Another compressor or eq is the last thing i need. I'm over all these sales which amounts basically to the same thing in different promotional guises.

Totally agree. The rollout to native has been glacial. So many plugins that still aren't available -- the RMX-16 and 480 reverbs, the Korg DDL delay, a zillion others. I don't care about the new stuff, I just want more of the classics to become available natively. It's been years now, where are they?

Rolling out slowly gives them a long runway of 'new' things to announce and money making events for early adopters. I think they'd deny it, but I suspect it is just down to a business decision.

I have. Like 2 a day. They keep telling me my $25 discount is almost expired. I think they should use that to buy me the iLok Dongle I wasn't warned I'd need before I bought their synths.

UAD would be completely worth it for me if I were not planning to ditch Windows for Linux by October.

I wonder if Pace/iLok have been in discussions with Codeweavers. If they could just get iLok Cloud working for authorization (in WINE under Linux), that would be enough for me.

No. You can only get 'Cloud Authorization' for the synths. I thought they meant machine licenses, because I had those for my Air stuff, and that wasn't so bad.
I emailed Support and asked why I can't have the licenses machine based and the response was: Buy a dongle.

The machine authorization is easier to crack as has been done in the past, which is why they only allow it for their free plugins.

I wouldn't use MA even if it were an option because of some of the horror stories of iLok thinking the machine changed because they replaced some component on it. I also lost my licenses once when my iMac died, and it took months to get some of them back. No issues so far using Cloud or the dongle.
