Well, if you ask
- Dumble Overdrive
- Mesa Boogie Mark I
- Acoustic 165
- Jim Kelley
- Cornford Harlequin
I guess apart from the Boogie, there might be a snowball's chance in hell for any one of these to be done. Where would you get a Dumble Overdrive from anyway? You could model a Kitty Hawk Standard instead - a somewhat obscure German amp that's supposed to be a dead ringer for a dumble, and can still be had for around 1500 Euros used. Prices are rising, thpugh, as supposedly Billy Gibbons was seen using a pair of those on the ZZ Top european tour.
Hm, I suppose the Vox Valvetronix does a pretty convincing impression of the Dumble...
Rene, why don't you just release the damn thing, and add other models later. You wrote us about a year ago that it was "almost done"....
Cheers
Alex

I don't care for insane distortion that much. Just whack on crunch please! As much crunch as possible.. So much crunch that even a single note sounds crunchy!

Will be there.
My vote goes to ... Plexi
You can chose 5 !
Alex, thats right, but it was a real pain to create the models and it took much time.finnbio wrote:Rene, why don't you just release the damn thing, and add other models later. You wrote us about a year ago that it was "almost done"....
I needed to find an easier way.
So around, short before the new year,
I had this idea...
And YES it worked !!!
Did you listen to the new mp3 files ?

The amp now eats all other sims,
soft or hard, for breakfast and is asking for more.

In that case I would go for:
Plexi
Soldano SLO
JCM 800
Boogie Mark I
AC30

OK, thanx ReneMidiworks wrote:Let me first finish another few heavy amp models first, zeoy wrote:Now that's the real chalenge Rene (at least IMHO). Make a real good clean or clean to crunch model and finish them all! You already have done a great job with hi gain sounds.
However if you don't want to spend your time on something you don't like and/or it's maybe not so popular that's totally understandable.
Just my 2 cents
than I do the cleaner ones.
The engine had changed too much, I need to modify it again for great clean/crunchy results.
@all other guitarheads here, esp. those with some experience on recording amps: I'm gonna start a new thread (in the Production techniques forum) to ask a few questions about a problem I have when recording my amp. So if you have some spare time take a look. Thanx
If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain

Here's my wishlist. 5 great amps perfectly simulated...what a dream!no other ampsim can do that yet.
Make it simple! few amps but the most real you can.![]()
( In other words: I don't want to wait another year to see this thing finished :_(
The sound will be super real, the feel be great too.
The tone controls will be the same for each model,
but react and sound different for each amp.
Somehow it needs to be handeled from one gui.
If you want a certain amp tone,
dial it up, adjust it to your needs and play !
Simple but powerfull.
I did. Go up a bit.Sorry for the confusion, I meant about what finnbio wrote:

I think finnbio meant "why dont you release the ampsim?" you didnt answer the question.. you answered something completely different! the question is WHY? you got your basic models, they sound great. we've been waiting for it a year now. you finish the rest of them later where you'll be more comfortable as well. so why really?Sorry for the confusion, I meant about what finnbio wrote:

The modeling engine is brand new,Midiworks wrote:So around, short before the new year,

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... start=1560 hihi:
also the distortion engine got modified to hande a
50 times higher/denser drive than XmassTube.
I need to rethink the whole concept.
No problem.
