Omnisphere 2 is here! (yes, it's really here!)

I don't really care about pianos, electric or acoustic. But certain woodwind attacks and timbres, especially of the double reed family and other plucks and strikes of world instruments and the like would be some nice additions. Definitely willing to do without an Altoid box or two in favor of those.gnosis123 wrote:Bwah? Could not disagree more. At this point, it's reasonable to believe that the users of the new version are talking mainly of the presets and yes, Spectrasonics is smart to cater to that market. But not by the exclusion of the other markets. Hopefully, once some of these users get into the sound sources, we'll get to see it has more to offer than EDM bloat.

Amen. Fortunately Omni now allows drag 'n drop user samples, and it seems to work very nicely. Rummaging around on the ol' sample drive just got a lot more interesting...BBFG# wrote:I don't really care about pianos, electric or acoustic. The online manual worked for me earlier today, but now it's down, as is the shop. I hope the shop is open again by the time I go to bed.Captain wrote:Installed, played it for a while, loving it... now I'd like to read the manual. But how? Selecting "Reference guide" from the Utility menu takes me to a web page that says "Can't Find Manual Directory". Apparently there is also a local copy of the manual in the STEAM directory, but that wasn't updated, it's still for v1. Any other places I am missing?

I feel really disappointed and thought Spectrasonics would have had all their ducks in a row BEFORE the release date. I guess not. Probably shouldn't have called April 30th if not available till next week as hopes were high, now I feel let down. I get they're sorry, not half as sorry as some customers are going to feel though

They must have severely underestimated the demand once it went live. I have to wonder what this means for those of us who already have the updater if we'll be able to get it over the weekend (maybe they are closing only for new client downloads?) or if we too have to wait.
