I found that the MIDI learn woks when I insert Uhbik alone (Only Uhbik on an empty track), but IF I insert an Instrument or a clip, it stops working.
Hmmm... I suppose that Midi is then interrupted somehow in Live... not sure how this works...

I guess in Live you have to set up Live's internal MidiCC assignments. I think to remember that Live doesn't give us all MidiCCs by default. Or some such thing.

One addition that I had planned was an indicator light for Midi and channel activity. This would be a spiffy control sitting below the text in the display area (hence the slightly larger area than in my other plugs). I need a fully working surround setup though (means, plug cables into the already set up speakers) because this control will also manage some deeper aspects (center treatment, Lfe treatment). Will add this soon!
Thanks Urs,

Most plug-ins don't pass midi through... if you have two plug-ins that receive midi on the same channel in Live, you must create a dummy channel and loop the data back to the effect or whatever. Create an empty midi channel, set the input so that it receives midi from your instrument and then set the output to the same track and select the uhbik effect.

Urs: Is a compressor completely out of the picture? In one of your posts above it sounded like it, although I think it would be the perfect round-off to this collection. Something with character.

Please count this as a vote for Ubik-C :-)

Cheers and thanks!

No, it isn't. I'd rather envision Uhbik-L as a Leveling unit - something that can tame the other Uhbiks. From my tests with Uhbik-X this almost looks a bit like a mandatory addition even :hihi:

Superb! I envision something really musical with "bite"...
Tame? No thanks ;-)

Urs,

You mentioned (I think) a price reduction for u-he loyalists. Is this it? Or will there be additional discounts for z2/fs/mfm owners?

The flanger is pure class, and as soon as I figure out how feedback works between the taps in the delay (basically as soon as there's a manual) I'm sure I'll love that one too... Though at the moment it seems you actually cannot get feedback near the point of oscillation on it? Not that I have a problem with the delay being mild mannered of course.
Hmmm... the Flanger definately goes into selfoscillation at extreme feedback settings. Maybe not in eco mode, havn't checked...
Oh, I'm sorry, I meant the feedback on uhbik-D doesn't go into oscillation, not that uhbik-F doesn't. Uhbik-F DEFINITELY goes into oscillation at extreme feedback levels!

This is mentioned earlier in the thread. The $99 intro offer is the u-he loyalists' price, and it'll remain that way for a limited period, though slightly longer than it will for non-loyalists.

At any rate, assuming you take less than 10 days to do uhbik-X, it could be a very awesome Uhbik-Xmas.

Seriously though, take your time. Frankly, I'd have paid the $99 for uhbik-F, Uhbik-Q, and Uhbik-A alone. I can't wait for all the additions planned :)

was there some kind of email about this?

No -- at least I didn't get one. Probably should let Urs chime in, but I got the impression that the "deal for loyalists" would be announced once Uhbik-X is completed and the whole package is ready for sale. It just so happens that this special preview price is the same.

yeah, once uhbik X and presets are added the price will go up to $149, but existing u-he customers will get an offer for $50 off of THAT price, bringing it down to $99.

Or ANYONE can buy right now for $99.

I am assuming that these aren't suppose to work as inserts in a mono track in Nuendo 4.2.2 on the PC?
Something like a filter I usually prefer to add to a track as an insert than a group.....but when I try that, no audio is passed.
thanks

Hello,

well, I think those plugins live up to what someone would expect from plugins from you :)

Will we also see surround support for AU (e.g. DP .... as DP does not support multi-mono I am afraid it needs true AU surround support ;) ) Personally I would love to see such a flexible design as with Voxengo so that you can make settings for each channel ..... :)

Thanks and congrates to these nice tools

I'm gonna pick up a prestigeous award I'm not allowed to talk about yet and then maybe join for the first day. It will take a *lot* to convince Grrrl to go a second day. Maybe if I send her over to Disney... hmmm... 8)
There's a 50/50 chance I'll be there as well. I'll even be free to wander, as I'm not working at the show; just visiting- thanks to a distributor who will go unnamed here :D
