I missed this earlier, anybody else seeing performance improvements? I haven’t been able to download and install 11 yet, but this is good news if performance has been improved like that.

Honestly. I have been using it longer than most and I never noticed a performance change.....

Same on windows, I have pretty much no performance change.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I would assume that, if there had been significant changes in that regard, they would have listed it in the changelog/new features.

Graphics on the mac are snappier but cpu/asio load... If there is a difference it is minute.
I quite like C11 for other reasons.

That’s because it’s a BS post...

I decided to update and install this last night. Looks like the server issues had been resolved by then, I had no issues and it was a butter smooth process overall. I think Steinberg Download Assistant could be better tho. It should be able to determine what packages you need to update and what you dont need. For example it's not clear if they're updates to the content libraries since C10. So you just end up downloading everything just in case there's new stuff in there.

Did anyone check out the new demo track from Venus Theory? It's pretty cool although a bit quiet for the genre. But maybe not quite as cool as Logic X which had a demo song by Beck.

,,,good I waited ...and didnt click anything...
Yes activation was slowwww for me too. But you have to be really patient. click the button and then walk away from the pc for awhile. at least thats pretty much what I did :hihi:
I should mention I used eLicenser Control Center not the download assistant...
I had activation code - If I had download access code I would enter it in my account not through download assistant... :ud:
I wasn't aware one could activate any other way except for the eCC. That's what I used too as I also had a code at the ready. :ud:

After the eCC registered the code I then went to the website and registered it there on my web account. done and done.

doesn't matter. You were simply lucky or you were smart and waited.

I only knew from elicenser software and entered the activation code. I was activating a VSL library yesterday morning as well, which showed the same error but it survived as an activation of the license, albeit two of those licenses showed a generic name rather than the given name for most of the time I was waiting for the C11 to go thru. Then I went to see C11 reveal in Download Assistant; & the code worked there to actuate the download but activation of the license did not follow.

Well, the 'Audio Performance' (fka 'VST Performance') reads about the same going by the meters. I never actually look at it, I go by what happens (and it doesn't necessarily match this display), ie., am I experiencing some kind of trouble in real-time.
I have ridiculously good performance (not to brag, I've had my share of abysmal performance with this platform/this application) currently.

Now the big caveats, I'm using VE Pro for every plugin in this project and an audio interface with a difference.

I may be mistaken, but it seems like there was some improvement in performance with Cubase 10 vs earlier (before I got this Presonus Quantum).

Got my update yesterday without license troubles. Nothing has changed performance wise (i have a 8 core ryzen cpu on windows 10 with newest windows updates). Seems like everything before, the Performance meter has a new look thats it. Scale assistant , Spectralayers one and supervision are nice features/plugins. Global tracks is OK but it is not available in a lower zone editor, only in a separate key editor window. All in all the update is pretty much average, Steinberg can't keep up with the competition (f.e. huge logic pro x update 10.5 was free of charge....)

Updated Cubase on Windows.
- There seem to be some visualization problems, moving some vst-windows from one monitor to the other.
- The new Blade II (Rob Papen) also isn‘t shown well - the XY-pad movements don’t move.
- My old beloved QIN RV from Kong Audio isn’t show at all - only a little white window.
- The performance is rather worse than cb10, especially with newer synths (pigments, blade II) - wIth NI Kontakt the performance seems ok.
👀😕

Would anyone be so kind as to post a screenshot of 1080p project with 100% scaling and then 125% scaling? I wonder if they've really fixed it. Thanks!

Did they fix the gapless sound engine thing in this 11? It is pretty much most annoying thing in Cubase and real deal breaker for many.
