Actually, if I’m not mistaken, Image Line operates from a city called Ghent, situated in Flanders, where the main language is Dutch. But culturally they’re still quite close indeed.

That said, Falcon has one of the clearest sonic signatures I know. And the workflow has gotten much better with the templates and other UX changes. Plus, I love the new oscillator additions. They even added their newest Opal compressor, easily the best optical comp around.

Thanks !
Ableton Live 11 and Push 3, MPE mode enabled
The patches become MPE compatible after adding the MPE Script Processor, I sent them a ticket, hopefully, they fix it soon.

Yeah I can imagine. I am pretty convinced I beat you though as I live in Singapore, often tagged as mist expansive city in the world. Good thing is plugins cost become small in comparaison.gentleclockdivider wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 5:09 amMy,hometownJac459 wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 4:15 amFleer wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 3:19 am Actually, if I’m not mistaken, Image Line operates from a city called Ghent, situated in Flanders, where the main language is Dutch. Unfortunately, it does not seem so. I was looking for one for version 2 a while ago, but UVI has not changed that in the new update.

There is nothing to test. It is great, buy it.

Well, if your focus is on synthesis rather than sampling, also have a look on MSoundFactory, which is on sale sometimes, too. It can do everything what Falcon can do, but then comes with all the synthesis stuff on top that you can imagine. The GUI is very annoying though. And there are no good presets.

Not good at all, I think. Good point.

I only have myself to blame here, because I DID have a trial. A few years ago an AAX-only version of Falcon was included with a Pro Tools support plan. For me that was effectively a trial. Even though I wanted to use it in Cubase, I never got on with it. They then withdrew it from the Pro Tools bundle, but offered a $100 crossgrade to the full version, which included a $100 UVI voucher.
What a deal! Despite knowing I didn't get on with it, I bought it. D'oh.
It's had plenty of enhancements since then, and UVI are to be applauded for their generosity with all the upgrades being free. But fundamentally it hasn't really changed in all this time. It is tinkering with the exact same paradigm. The sound is (mostly) the same, the workflow is (mostly) the same, the non-existent browser is exactly the same.
I think there are two kinds of people - those who get on with it and those who don't. Every update makes it better for the former, but converts few of the latter. So I definitely do think it needs a trial, even though it taught me nothing (because I'm an idiot).

You can do it in the dedicated Effects tabbmanic wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:50 pm .. speaking of the effects in the mixer section of Falcon. Is it really not possible to re-order them with drag&drop yet? Heck, is there ANY way of re-ordering the effects in the mixer???
