Yeah, I don't disagree really. I can't express my appreciation in the same way that I can for the solos in The Cowboy Song, as an example. I was just pointing it out because it is clearly virtuosity. I think why it doesn't trigger my instant hate mode is because it's a nylon guitar. I think that, unlike you, I prefer it over classical fingerpicking. Then again, I'm not going to buy the album, or even put him on a playlist on Spotify, but it does pop up on youtube because of other searches so I'll watch him there from time to time.
whose singing voice do you love or hate?

..If you're a fan of Smells Like Teen Spirit there is no way you are going to be into Shania Twain and Beyonce. It's just not possible...
I love all those, except I'm thinking more of old Beyonce(hate the new stuff) and I don't think Shania has put out a record since the early 2000's.

Five of my favorite albums:
Walk Among Us, by The Misfits
Freeways, by Bachman Turner Overdrive
Above, by Mad Season
The Red Headed Stranger, by Willie Nelson
Stratosfear, by Tangerine Dream
Pity me.
Back on topic, I mentioned Danzig briefly before. I won't compare him to Ray Charles, but relative to his genre, I think Danzig is the best hardcore singer.

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

That's kind of what my record collection looked like in the '70s - all over the place - before I discovered music that completely changed my life. At that point I realised that the music I previously thought I loved was just stuff that didn't annoy me as much as a lot of other music. But it never connected with me in anything like the way that The Stranglers, Ultravox and XTC did in 1978.

How could you listen to post punk and write something different for novakill? If you are truly moved by post punk there is no way you are going to be into the style of music you are writing for novakill. It's just not possible.Boo Boo wrote:What I'm saying is that if you are truly moved by Smells Like Teen Spirit there is no way you are going to be into Shania Twain and Beyonce.
