@Linux users: Did anybody get the wavetable import to work or knows how to copy and paste SVG? Currently on Fedora I can't drag&drop and it seems to be impossible to copy & paste outside of the same Zebra3 instance, let alone outside of Ardour or Reaper. I'm wondering if I have to tweak some permissions to access the same clipboard.
Also on Fedora Kinoite and running into this as well. Are you running Ardour as a flatpak, in a distrobox or some other way?

I use Bitwig and realize I'm pretty limited currently with drag n drop even in other plugins so I'll start problem solving this now

Yes I want to be able to import single cycle waves and ideally entire tables soon

Having plenty of fun without it but that will definitely take Z3 up get another notch when I can get this to work

Besides the Linux drag-n-drop issues... Single cycle import works fine in Zebra 3. From my perspective, wavetables/samples do not. It'll make a rough approximation, but the result is different enough that to me, there's no point.

Well, it was fun for a few days. Today my all-Z3 project is crashing with the synth raising an access violation.

That project had 16 instances of Z3 and nothing else. I tried inserting Z3 into a blank project and no crash. Maybe only a problem with a large number of instances? Opened a new project and inserted 18 instances of Z3 - instant crash when I attempted to re-open the project.

You made that with beta's and tried re-opening it with the newest version? Or did you arrange it with the latest release version?

Latest release version. Bought it on release day.

A single instance in a project works OK. But with a bunch of instances, instant crash when I attempt to re-open either of two projects that have 16 and 18 instances, respectively.

I have opened a ticket with U-He.

What DAW?

It would be cool if we had an option to "Export Wavetable - Post FX" with the oscillator effects applied to each frame. For example, I've been having fun making wavetables with the Phase Distortion effect that uses the Curve as a phase angle (which just so happens to make Z3 one of the most powerful phase distortion synths on the planet btw) and I would love to export the phase distortion result as the wavetable instead of the phase angle.

It is stated in the user guide as well, but my logic would be that I would have to be able to get to stage of experimentation at all for the feature to be considered existent.

No, I try to avoid containered installs for audio stuff (or in general) where I can, as there's always a problem with some file location not being accessible.

I'm on Linux and have the same problem with drag&drop issues meaning I'm unable to access the import feature at present - the drag&drop issues are not unique to Zebra but having a built-in file browser in the other cases means I can still access features.

Urs wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 4:33 pm I am thinking about pairing a scope-type overlay with the Target Finder (which I hope you have switched to "Tentacles" for fast overviews). A scope-type overlay will give you a good indication of what a modulator does, if it is a moving modulator. Works well with fast movement and slow movement. Could happen with Target Finder as well as some kind of "Source Finder", which we're tentatively thinking about.
It's tentacles all the way down, here

The scope overlay seems like a decent compromise & source finder would definitely be helpful :tu:

I suppose you could look at it that way, but I took it to mean 'it might work, it might not'...
