Yet their 'generosity' ends at the point where they no longer deem it a financially lucrative model. They're hoping the free plugin draws interest in buying others. And they likely saturated the pro market thus saw the need to purse the lower end (beginners and hobbyists), just like Waves and IKM have done before them. It's not out of the goodness of their hearts and any statements to the opposite is just marketing.

Well, UA is a retail manufacturing business of sorts, and that's usually how those all work. I suppose it would've been better to NOT give anything out free, then they could've just still been 'UA' and not some shady business that god forbid is out trying to make new sales by giving out some free promo plugs..

Test it in PD - easy to see. Then compare it to DMG 1176 or Softube FET mk2. There are already also several reviews on youtube pointing out the same. Too bad - because it has great att/rel action.

Aliasing/OS folk are funny. They're like "it sounds great, but too bad there is no OS" or "too bad it aliases."
Analyzers have been the bane for mixers, not aliasing or OS.

Took a minute or so to migrate my licenses, now they're all machine authorised and I don't need to worry about using UA plugins when I'm out and about with my laptop...

For the record, Spark Subscriptions are still iLok Cloud. Machine Authorization is only for perpetual licenses.

UAD classic compressors and eq worth,very dope fx actually,but is very annoying that,every time we have to activate them before session,if internet connection is not available,can't start your work...why UAD guys don't find another solution is beyond my understanding... i prefer Plugin Alliance,same quality,more affordable prices...
Bought already what i need from UAD and this constant activation really piss me off...
There is few stuff i still desire from uad,but will find alternative,because of this annoying activation...
