It's funny how the brain works. The Valhallas are top notch. In no way worse than any of the really expensive ones. But since all the others are supposed to cost several hundred bucks, people tend to go crazy when they get to buy them around the regular pricing of the Valhallas.
Maybe think of it as an ongoing 80% off deal.
I didn't like the GUIs at first, either. But go ahead, work 10 hours on your music and then open the Valhalla Room GUI. It's so easy to read the settings...
As to reverbs I'd like to have: there's one open spot on my system for FabFilter Pro-R. As soon as a summer sale comes around, that is what I'll buy.

Look, it's almost embarrassing how Valhalla went from the most talked about verb to kinda non-talked lately. For the price, stability, and so on, it's tits. You can't go wrong. That doesn't mean there are not other options.
Originally, I sold them because for a couple of years I went 100% reason.
Now, because shit changes, I've gone r-verb for my main squeeze (going back to vst, I know, I'm fickle......)
Why? It's a literal jack of all trades. Easy on the CPU, and more flexible with eq.
But Valhalla, is still a monster, no reason not to check them out.

Now you'll be able to use your VST reverbs in Reason.incubus wrote:Originally, I sold them because for a couple of years I went 100% reason.

Looks like they're onto us...

Nobody knows how long they're going to keep doing it. I bought my 6i6 in late 2014 and have gotten all the deals so far which is great as I was kinda bummed when the Softube bundle they added was only for new owners.systmu wrote:Wow So I can get the Focusrite Solo for $85 and get Free quality plugins each month? How long are they planning to give out these plugins for? -
There's been a couple of months when they've just given away discount vouchers so it's not always going to be a plugin but it's definitely nice to be eligible for this.

And that would have been before Gobbler.
Some months are really good. I have a Novation keyboard so I got 2 XLN keys. But a month or two ago, it was just a discount code. And this month it is like a CM version of the plug in since I don't see an LE version in their products list. Still it is very nice. I love my Stereo Room verb I got last year.

The Softube bundle (Time and Tone) comes with the interfaces now. It wasn't part of the software bundle when I got my Scarlett and wasn't added for people who already owned one.

Thanks! I must have missed that. I picked up a Solo a few months ago for traveling, but didn't see Time & Tone in my iLok list. Adding now!sprnva wrote:The Softube bundle (Time and Tone) comes with the interfaces now. Good luck with that LoopLoft! LOL!Numanoid wrote:The LoopLoft open the LoopLocker with a launch deal, get it for $99 per year. Deal runs until May 7 or until licenses run out.
What it offer:https://mem.thelooplocker.com/launch-offer/-Tutorials and training from top pros on everything from mixing to marketing your music...
-$1,100 in loops and sample available for download … instantly
-Take a studio tour with Omar Hakim and have him answer your questions
-A place where all of the super-talented people who get these emails can connect, collaborate, live stream, etc.
This subscription thing needs to put a few companies in the soup line so we can forget that it ever happened.

LoopLoft owner asked specifically to not share this offer now so that it can be exclusive to Loop Loft customers at first.ghettosynth wrote:Good luck with that LoopLoft! Numanoid, on behalf of Loop Loft, thank you, they will be very happy!

I waited before posting it, so the LoopLoft inner circle got it first, seems there are licenses left for everybody else.
BTW: I wonder when the Loop Loft will ship out the v2 version of Drum Direktor, that they promised the latest by the end of April.

So, I didn't mean to repost the link, but, that just sounded like so much sales bs when I saw this in the email. I mean, I like loop loft stuff well enough, but that sounds like it's intended to pressure existing customers into getting on board.Ryan99 wrote:LoopLoft owner asked specifically to not share this offer now so that it can be exclusive to Loop Loft customers at first.ghettosynth wrote:Good luck with that LoopLoft! I can barely contain my own laughter writing about this. All the best to Loop Loft, but, as an existing customer, I'm more than happy to give my spot in this amazing hot deal to anyone who wants to be suckered by take advantage of the deal.

Every weekend it seems users can pick up samples worth $1100 for less than $100 at the Loop Loft.ghettosynth wrote:I can barely contain my own laughter writing about this. So the comment about keeping it under wraps, seems like a way to make it look like a more exclusive deal than it is.

Yeah, the Samplephonics guys pulled the same stunt by allegedly sending out an [internal use only] email to their email subscribers before launching their subscription service.Numanoid wrote:ghettosynth wrote:So the comment about keeping it under wraps, seems like a way to make it look like a more exclusive deal than it is.
Some of these loop purveyors are like used car salesmen.
