More are now offering midi loops. Those are the only ones I buy anymore.Gamma-UT wrote:I'm getting the impression that the arse has fallen out of the loops and sample-pack market.

I find ridicuolus that the price of the full product is 299 and the upgrade costs 199 ON SALE
the CE for 49 can't be bad IMHO

Exactly my thoughts as well. On CE you can save 2/3 while on the upgrade only 1/3. Why?autodafe wrote:I find ridicuolus that the price of the full product is 299 and the upgrade costs 199 ON SALEthe CE for 49 can't be bad IMHO

Is Waves Codex on "permanent" sale, I think I have seen it at $59 for quite some time?

The Kirk Hunter are on the same level so the advice makes sense. Albion One of course is another dimension really for another target audience imo.TheKid wrote:Better skip Miroslav and go for Spitfire Albion One and expand from there. Or get Kirk Hunter Diamond Orchestra on sale.

At 49$ the CE version is an unbelievable value. This is a really well done library. But when you upgrade from CE to full you have to buy the crossgrade version which comes in at $400 if not on sale.systmu wrote:Dang that miroslav philharmonik 2 look nice. If you already have Sampletank 3 SE you qualify for the upgrade price which is on sale right now. So if you have Sampletank 3 SE you might prefer taking advantage of the upgrade sale, otherwise you can't really go wrong with the CE version.
I never understood why people like the Kirk Hunter libraries. Maybe it is because they are extremely easy to use. But they just sound a bit fake imho. The Miroslav libraries sound better to me.

I have Miroslav first version that I got for $49 on sale. It is only 32 bit so I didn't use it much, but I recently found out it works with Sampletank. The new player looks a lot more complicated/useful. But I haven't figured out how much more content you get to make it worth the upgrade price. It doesn't sound like more than $100 worth.

Do you think the miroslav CE worth $42.5 if I have several samplers/romplers already? (Kontakt, Halion Sonic SE, Tracktion Collective, Xpand, Structure)?
Also, how long is the sale, Uncle E?

what the hell! MIroslav CE is 42$ after the discount, which convert to 38 euros....less than a pizza and cinema for two !

This sale price happens on a regular basis from what I've seen. It is more in line with Garritan personal orchestra than a sampler. I'm going to say if you need a starter orchestra it is a great deal for the sale price. But it isn't really what I would call a sampler because there are separate instruments and articulations.shidostrife wrote:Do you think the miroslav CE worth $42.5 if I have several samplers/romplers already? I believe it's all 64 bit now. On the website you can see the list of new instruments in version 2. Also in version 2 all version 1 content in it's own section. I would say it's worth it.dzilizzi wrote:I have Miroslav first version that I got for $49 on sale. It is only 32 bit so I didn't use it much, but I recently found out it works with Sampletank.
