If your after a good sounding organ which runs on the v-machine then this one is freeware and sounds great, worth checking it out. No wizard file is needed.

I can't load into my V-Machine the Native Instruments B4 (not B4 II) VSTi.
I'm using the following wizard file:
dll_name: Native Instruments B4/B4.dll
id: 1315517523
name: Native Instruments B4
is_synth: 1
parameter_count: 54
program_count: 120
has_editor: 1
editor_width: 786
editor_height: 493
name_abbrevation: B4
dirs_to_copy:
...
/Programmi/Native Instruments/B4/Bin
/Programmi/Native Instruments/B4/Presets
/Programmi/Native Instruments/B4/Tonewheels
...
registry_keys:
...
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\B4]
"AudioPort"="MultiMedia"
"PresetDir"="p:\\Native Instruments B4\\Presets"
"ShowAudioUsage"=dword:a64f2b87
"TonewheelDir"="p:\\Native Instruments B4\\Tonewheels"
...
Or would someone be so kind to send me a working wizard file?
Thanks
Giovanni

Hi there,
New user of the V Machine here, and quite happy with the thingy so far, except for the terrible NOISE of the fan. I'm using it mostly as a sampler.
I've just made a wizard file for the GSI Type4 Spring reverb (pretty nice reverb). Since I don't know how to attach files, I copy and paste here the content of the file:
dll_name: Spring Reverb Type4/Type4.dll
id: 1415139380
name: Spring Reverb Type4
is_synth: 0
parameter_count: 10
program_count: 1
has_editor: 1
editor_width: 480
editor_height: 160
files_to_copy:
...
Type4.dat
Type4.lic
...
Regards.

i have seen the youtube demo of ewi 4000 controlling a v-machine using a free moog plugin and controlling the filter resonance frequency with breath control so that shows v-machine is delivering the appropriate data.
i think theres only like 2 or 3 vsti's that are setup for windsynth by default, the vast majority being setup for keyboard.
you'll have to go into each vsti and assign breath control, which is midi message cc#2, continuous controller 2, to control something. usually its filter cutoff frequency.
some vsti's let you do a global assign and some do it on a patch by patch basis, on a lot of the cool ones you just hit shift-click or cntrl-click and it gives you a midi learn box and you just blow a little and its assigned.

Within the VFX software or in the V-machine itself you can easily assign anything you want.rmgamez wrote:Can somebody tell me how to use breath control with an AKAI EWI and the V-Machine?

A lot of hard work is being done to get new software and firmware released soon. I don't know the exact time it will be released as that depends on when it is finished and tested to work.
If anyone wants to be notified when the next release is available, all you need to do is register an account at our http://smproaudio.helpserve.com website as I plan to do an email out for each software release to let all users know.

i hope the new firmware is not so "buggy" like dannys expectations:
"...Posted: Fri Jul 03, 2009 1:37 am
We are currently testing the new version, I expect it to be released in the next 10 days.

Want to upgrade the internal flash to 16gb for around $60
If that is too much then how about 8gb for around $30?
Here is how...
16gb compact flash
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/s ... r.83691403
8gb compact flash
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/s ... r.83691403
A compact flash to male ide 44-pin adapter
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/s ... r.83691403
44pin ide cable to connect it to the internal port.
http://www.cablesonline.com/244pinidelap.html
Only for those that are willing to modify their units and loose warranty. You need to cut some of the plastic case's internal ribbing (dremil tool works great) so that it all fits inside nicely. Also any metal parts on the adapter need to be prevented from touching/shorting out any of the electronics of the V-Machine.
