I think you buried the lede there! I’m waiting on my pay in a few days to see if a Neumann is still available, only a humble TLM102, but probably a step up from using my SM58 for everything.

New (old) Miniak arrived. In pretty good nick considering. Keys need a clean, slight scratchiness when moving the volume knob (pretty standard in old kit) and four of the rotary knobs have lost their purely decorative black plastic end caps but keys and buttons, dials etc all work and everything else I've tried with it seemed to work fine.
Need to get my hands on a decent (hopefully free) editor. Anyone know of one for this or the Alesis Micron (this is basically a reskinned and rebranded version of that) ?

Also, just ordered one of those modules that lets you clone signals from one rack to another.
This new Tesseract Modular one has 16 ports that can be CV or audio ins or outs and comes with a couple of 2m long leads.
The claim is there is absolutely no cable crosstalk.

The dangerous thing here is that it means I can now move beyond using racks on my desk which means I could get more racks. Oh bum, what have I done?

Congrats on the VSX cans. I'm curious to know what you think once you get used to using them!
I ordered one of these TE boxes. These should be fun and I'm hoping microtonic is next.

Just bought one. Seems super fun both for screwing around, and for weird glitchy droney loops along with my other gear.

Other possible fun BF purchases got trumped by my TV soundbar giving up the ghost. Got about ten years out of it so can’t really complain. Denon one for a ton in the sales should do the job.
Edit: So bizarrely it turns out that getting a new soundbar did lead to new (old) gear as I must have stuck my SE electronics X1 microphone down the week I moved in to my current place maybe six years ago and then placed my soundbar in front of it, hiding it, so for ages I thought I lost it somehow in the house move. Maybe the Neumann can wait a bit longer.
