I'm narrowing my own load down to just 24-Bit, REX, MIDI and Synth Presets. Some could make theirs larger or smaller depending on what they want. There are 16-Bit versions of files for example. Anyway, I've got about 7 Packs to go and I'll be looking at less than 18.9 GB.

The ones in bold are worth that alone. I have many of them. I wish you did shut up because I was going to pass on them and now after your post I'm buying them. I have over half on the list anyway.Aloysius wrote:I'm narrowing my own load down to just 24-Bit, REX, MIDI and Synth Presets. Some could make theirs larger or smaller depending on what they want. I'm really surprised there's not more discussion about the current mega-deal on Wavesfactory. What I have from them is excellent, and the price of the bundle makes it a no-brainer in my opinion.Fleer wrote:Sweet indeed, amazing percussions, ukulele and Marxophone. Anyway, here's an overview of all the instruments from the bundle:

Simply don't need most of the stuff in the 6-in-1 Bundle so..
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

+1 on the Wavesfactory Deal.
I already had some of it but that was just a drop in this vast ocean.
Finally finished sorting everything out into nice neat folders.
Hope I'll get some time actually use some it today.
10 EUR for anything on that Diginoiz List is a bargain imho. To get 65 times that is something else.kitekrazy wrote: ...

I'm very happy the Waves factory deal doesn't appeal to me. I have very similar stuff already and I think I'd rather spend my money on the 9U to 11U update. Just disappointed that the tax from JRR is more than the discount. I'll probably get it from Sweetwater. Or direct from NI. Not sure I really need another hard drive. They should give a discount for the download only version. Then I should probably sell my Strummed Acoustics guitar. Don't really need a second one. Probably not worth much since there is a version 2 out.

I have to say that this must be the biggest mess of a deal ever LOL! I don't do anything that these samples are targeting, but, RnB or EDM vocals can be useful in the kind of house music that I do like, and, no matter how hard I try, I can't sound like a sultry chick.Aloysius wrote:+1 on the Wavesfactory Deal.

So, whatever, it's worth $10 just for that, but, I'm not sure how much effort I'll put into organizing these sounds other than the vocals TBH. I've paid three times that for one vocal library of some chick singing various cliche lines and I do use them in tracks. Some of them are definitely better than others. I would say though, that if you don't have a specific need for something from this collection and you don't do EDM/Trap/RnB/HipHop that it might not even be worth $10.
A lot of the playing in the loops is pretty basic in a contemporary EDM sort of way. The fat key vibe packages are notably short of both vibe and fatness. Most of the packs seem to be construction kits for various RnB style tracks. If you work that way and in those styles, they might come in handy. I'm not even sure that I can stretch them into interesting experimental tracks, or if I'll bother trying. While the guitar playing isn't exceptional, it is one of those things that I can see being useful if you don't play guitar. There are enough longer loops that you might find a place for them.
Don't want to put a damper on this, just give a slightly less enthusiastic perspective. It's probably worth $10 to almost anyone, but, if there weren't at least a few vocal samples of interest, I would have passed, despite the massive size.

In a sense they do give a discount. I'm not sure how universal it is, but they don't charge tax on the downloads whereas they do on the physical shipment.dzilizzi wrote:I'm very happy the Waves factory deal doesn't appeal to me. I'm moving it to my NAS now and all 24 bit zips + expanded libraries are some 44GB. I will probably burn the zips off to blueray and delete most of it.Philip_P wrote:Anyone? (Re: the DIGINOIZ sample deal).Nobdi wrote:How many GBytes is the whole pack ?

@ ghettosynth
I think you make some good points. Style doesn't bother me too much though. I'm old enough to call anything that uses synths ''electronic music''.
The quality is very good. Not some shoddy collection of badly produced and recorded material. That is what I half expected and was very pleasantly surprised at what it turned out to be. I expected to have to sort the wheat from the chaff but ended up keeping everything.
Dropping a loop into an arrangement without bothering to match the style, key or tempo of what you're working on can really get the creative juices flowing.
