Yep, that Wavesfactory deal is the sweetest ATM. Loving those suspended cymbals, the different percussion libs and marxophone. Must be the best ukulele too. Nice.

You were probably looking at _ultimate_ updates... there was no KU7 - KU8 was the first 'ultimate' version - so obviously no ultimate upgrades from anything earlier.Rational wrote: Thanks so much. I noticed my update says from 8-10. Are you sure I can update 7 with no problem at that low price during the sale? Or has it changed to 8+ since you last checked. Thanks. For now I've told him I'll buy it.
Edit: And as far as I can tell NI is free for license transfers? Anyone know if I transfer it to myself and then decide to sell it if they won't approve that?
they've been consistent about allowing upgrades from normal komplete K2+ for a very long time....
it's free to transfer, and they've never given me any issues about it.

Looking to buy Kontakt 5 since the crossover price is decent. Does anyone know if am I able to just install the Kontakt 5 program without also installing the 43GB of content that comes with it? I'm only really interested in it for it's hosting on more interesting libraries.

Yep but if you use Kontrol software Kontakt without any library didn't show up at first so no panic.Harry_HH wrote:You can lieve factory content out.jjj115 wrote:Looking to buy Kontakt 5 since the crossover price is decent. Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Anyone heard anything on fabfilter? They seem to have a sale every spring/summer.
Btw, Ive been having Rp Explorer for sale for a while, very low interest. Is it low in demand or whats the deal? Im assuming its because of the higher price tier. Im mainly selling to get off bundles and on to singles instead but I could as well keep it since its a pretty sweet package. Any feedback?

Hey guys, I'm wanting to take advantage of the Melda MMorph plugin this week as it's on sale but it seems you cant get it at JRR Shop or AudioDeluxe?
Anybody know where it's on sale cheaper than Melda?

There's a lot of underrated sounds in that library.jjj115 wrote:Looking to buy Kontakt 5 since the crossover price is decent. There's also one shots as well. Not everything in that bundle I would consider as RnB. The vocal stuff can always be manipulated. Diginoiz has been around for a long time.Aloysius wrote:@ ghettosynth
I think you make some good points. Style doesn't bother me too much though. I'm old enough to call anything that uses synths ''electronic music''.
The quality is very good. Not some shoddy collection of badly produced and recorded material. That is what I half expected and was very pleasantly surprised at what it turned out to be. I expected to have to sort the wheat from the chaff but ended up keeping everything.
Dropping a loop into an arrangement without bothering to match the style, key or tempo of what you're working on can really get the creative juices flowing.

Yup, you are correct. If I buy the download version, there is no tax but they do hit me with tax on the box version.ghettosynth wrote:In a sense they do give a discount. I'm not sure how universal it is, but they don't charge tax on the downloads whereas they do on the physical shipment.dzilizzi wrote:I'm very happy the Waves factory deal doesn't appeal to me. I have very similar stuff already and I think I'd rather spend my money on the 9U to 11U update. Just disappointed that the tax from JRR is more than the discount. I'll probably get it from Sweetwater. Or direct from NI. Not sure I really need another hard drive. They should give a discount for the download only version. Then I should probably sell my Strummed Acoustics guitar. Don't really need a second one. Probably not worth much since there is a version 2 out.
Part of me says if I'm going to pay for a hard drive, I should get a hard drive.
You know, to add to my overly large collection of hard drives.

I feel you, and I went through the same dillema. In the end, I said no to more physical stuff. I might regret that in the future, but, at the moment I don't. I justified it to myself with the tax discount, which, if you think about it, isn't really that far off from the cost of that shitty little hard drive.dzilizzi wrote:Yup, you are correct. I had the same question last week which put me into research mode on it. Historically the summer sale starts in the 2nd week of July (around the 12th).mrj1nx wrote:Anyone heard anything on fabfilter? They seem to have a sale every spring/summer.
