$50 or less for their older plugins. Many of them are over 10 years old and haven't had their algorithms updated in all that time.Rational wrote:And I totally agree on the UAD stuff. Over. Priced. Won't. Buy. It. Any. More.
They really need to put their plugins at $50 for the majority of them and $99 for the bigger ones. And still offer discount coupons. I've got an Apollo Twin Duo and a bunch of plugins already. But am starting to see that I don't want to be tied to their platform's limited DSP as the years go by and CPUs continue to climb in native power and ram.
Really like their Pivot M/S tilt EQ - found it really good for bringing out elements in the mix that were virtually inaudible due to being masked by other sounds. It's got just enough controls to get what you want easily. Picked it up for about £19 last Black Friday.MogwaiBoy wrote:L2 is a classic but no oversampling on a brickwall limiter = ouchwaltercruz wrote:Almost certain that I don't need Waves L2 (I've IK Stealth Limiter and PSP Xenon). Watch out for their bundle sales. And maybe start with the newest FabFilter Essentials bundle, as it includes Pro-R, Pro-C2 and Pro-Q2.mrj1nx wrote:Did I miss something? What are the discounts like on bundles after you've become a customer? Been contemplating buying the FX bundle once it goes on summer sale. Just didn't know if the savings would be more substantial by buying less the first time, and then waiting to add the remaining later.mrj1nx wrote:

I think its something like 10-15% off the first plug and then the same general rules as the normal bundles, for each you add you get an increasing % offbwattsup wrote:What are the discounts like on bundles after you've become a customer? Gamma-UT wrote:The discounts get deeper the more of their stuff you own up to around 40 per cent off (outside of a sale). Typically, during a sale, they provide a bigger discount (another 10 per cent or so IIRC).
Awesome! Thanks for the info Gamma-UT and mrj1nx! Much appreciated.mrj1nx wrote:I think its something like 10-15% off the first plug and then the same general rules as the normal bundles, for each you add you get an increasing % off
