If it really bugs you, you could always edit the resources and modify the skin. It's one of the very nice things about U-he synths.

I also thought of doing that, but I never did such a thing before. So I wouldn't even know where to start. Will modifying a certain .png do the trick? Or it's not that simple?

This might be due to Power Nap and/or App Nap. You can try disabling Power Nap in the Energy Saver system preference. If that doesn't help, I remember that disabling App Nap on Logic was the first thing to do in Mavericks. I'm not sure how to do that on Yosemite or later, but it might be worth giving a shot.

Also make sure that you really have rev 6794 installed, as we reworked Multicore for better load distribution on Macs.
Urs- thanks for replying!

Confirm rev 6794 was installed, and Power Nap was disabled in Energy Saver (I run off battery in my studio). Is anyone else having issues with Repro-5 on a MacBook Pro?

You'd also have to go in and move the controls around. There's a script file for each GUI if you've got any experience with such things, and even a built-in skin editor that lets you do some "what you see is what you get" tweaks. Unfortunately, there's no documentation for the skin editor so it's very much a trial and error thing. But through trial and error (and I'm no programmer or designer), I figured out how to move stuff around, and create labels, check out the changes, and save them, but that's about it. Combine that with basic image editing skills and some help from other KVR users, and I was able to create my modified RePro skins. It's a process, but worth trying. You might even get halfway into it and realize that it's not so bad after all!

It's not far off. Main pane has 1 : 1.66, golden ratio is 1: 1.62.

I'm working on a small wood frame Theme.

OK, I was able to solve the crackling issue by increasing the I/O buffer to 256 samples in Logic Pro X; For the past several years 32 or 64 samples was adequate. I am still seeing a large increase in CPU usage with the Repro-5 GUI open vs closed, more than double. Not sure why that would occur, but I disable "Automatic Graphics Switching" to keep the video card working.

Also, I am still seeing just one core running on the Logic CPU meter, despite selecting Multicore in Repro-5. But at least it is now playable, and sounds amazing.

I can't even tell you how many hours in total I must have put into my edited themes. Looking at them, you'd think all I did was change some colors by editing the .png's but there was a lot of little things and minor tweaks that were insanely tedious, not to mention figuring things out by trial and error. I'm finally happy with where RePro-5 Black ended up, but it wasn't fun getting there. Kudos to the folks like drzhnn (who made the Extended Browser in my themes) and plugmon who really get this stuff and can create some really unique themes.

^Just went to your black skins thread. You kept the middle wood intact... :x :hihi:

Can't believe I'm the only one who hates it. Same with that big BAZILLE written in the Gearporn skin.

Nice Job Chris. Looks pretty good having seen it in action. How much smaller is the preset browsing window?

Did not change the size of other frames.
