The sale ends Friday. For me, it covers similar territory as Hive, I personally think Strobe 2 sounds a little better but the number of supersaw voices you get with Hive is unbeatable.

Time to get out the pitchforks and torches. :hihi:

LOL!

I love Hive for what it is. From what I understand, it's designed for supersaw voice count and is not meant to stand toe-to-toe with DIVA and Zebra. Strobe 2 can stand toe-to-toe with DIVA and Zebra. Personally, I rank them #1 DIVA, #2 Cypher 2 (I'm a beta tester), #3 Zebra, #4 Strobe 2, and #5 Hive.

A first time "jahresabo" subscriber can select a gift based on what is available at the time.

In addition Dune Beat version, u-he Beatzille are usually found on their DVDs, but there are no exclusive Tone2 or TAL plugs as far as I know, available to subscribers.
Oh okay, not sure why I was thinking there were. Wishful thinking perhaps :hihi:

I love Hive as well.
The original DCAM synths never impressed me all that much, but I may have to check out Strobe 2.

For me, my favorite is VPS Avenger. It would be great Eric if you would sell it and the expansions. When they are on sale, I would buy from you.

For me old Strobe liked more, a less cpu usage and old gear-style UI frankly to say i liked more than "flat". And sound in v1 was very good imo (I'm even afraid and still not sure - if nerfed or no). But, must admit a new modulation abilitis in v2 strobe become really sick (in good sense), as well i very liked built-in FX's. But cpu usage increased significantly, moreover was removed lower quality values (oversampling). In my opinion - need have both. 8)

Surprised this comment didnt get more comments since Diva is considered the God of analog emulation. Thats high praise for Cypher2 :tu:

+1

Half of the content of the DVD is for the most part devoted to samples, that already can be downloaded for free from the creator vendor in the first place.
Each issue of CM comes with a brand new sample pack created exclusively for us, that can't be obtained anywhere else.

We also include selected offerings from big-name sample brands' paid-for packs. And also CM-exclusive samples from our archives.

We don't have a problem with CM,at least I don't. This discussion was about Beat magazine. CM digital has been great. It is the easiest to use of any I have tried. :tu:

I also get Music Tech. Half of their digital DVD's won't open. Something about how We Transfer zips them. I have tried multiple programs to unzip, but most of them don't work. And you can only go back 5 issues.
Speaking of that Music Tech is on sale.

I have CM and always will but how is Music Tech other than what you mention. Is it worth $16.99. Their digital format seems better than play.

Post

MusicTech DVD's suck compared to CM or Beat, but their magazine is rather good.

What's funny is I used to buy Music Tech magazine at the store and rarely opened the DVD. It is a decent magazine and worth $16.99.

Diva? I though people said that monark was a better moog emu than diva? It def sounds a little digital to me. The legend seemed better. Though I suppose diva can do a lot more, I've never used it. I listened to a 45 minute strobe 2 demo today and thought it sounded fantastic. I was able picked it up for a great deal from a user here. I can't wait!!!

Btw can someone explain why halion symphonic orchestra is $499 on jrrshop but only $99 (only $50 on sale) on steinbergs website? Are there different versions? Thanks
