Why, yes!

Just set the oscillator waveform/mode to "SpectroBlend" - boom, there it is

Heh heh sorry what i was trying to say is that its a bit hard to work with single harmonics since you often take the harmonic on the left and right side up with you. A zoom function could also do it so its more easy to navigate a single harmonics.

As it is now its perfect for drawing waveforms with mouse. But making tonewheel like waveforms can be tricky.

That's what the registerizer FX is for ;)
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Yup the FX can do miracles to waveforms but its not the same as if you have the first 16 harmonics in front you with full control of volume for each harmonic. You can copy alot of woodwinds waveforms just using the first 16 harmonics.

Improvements such as zoom into waveforms/spectra may come, but not now...

There's a load of new things in there and it may require some months to gather enough experience and feedback to determine the appropriate measures for further refinements.

We'll see how it pans out...

Hmmmm?

Yes. Something like it. But different. Perhaps.

What's the latest news? When is the scheduled release of Zebra V2?

Question about the FX bussing: I'm trying to figure out how the routing works, but it seems weird.

In the FX section, there are three vertical lines - line one going to the master output, the next two go to returns 1 and 2. So if those lines are the same as busses 1 and 2, i can't route audio there using the bus routing or the sends.

For example: If I place a delay on FX line 2 (going to Return 1), leave all sends down, place one oscillator on the grid. I then turn up Return 1. I hear delay - even though i haven't routed that oscillator to bus 1, or turned up any sends.

I'm either missing something, or there's still work and the FX routings aren't working yet. Any chance of a micro-manual to this Urs?

Post

Sorry beej, can't help you and your fx-routing problem. If I stick an osc in column1, and a rev in bus1, turn wet down and dry up and send1 on the master channel up, I don't get any delay, just the same noise twice as loud.

I have a question anyhoo: I have two oscillators, on seperate columns, and I want one to use env1 to control osc1 volume and env to control osc2 volume.

No matter how I set up modulation of the osc volume I cannot seem to override the env1 amp effect on osc2.

Am I missing something obvious?

change the envelope of the column you put osc2 in, just above it's volume knob, set that to env2, or whatever, and you're done :)

Ah, I see now. Thanks for that oh evil one.

Anybody on the FX routing stuff? Still haven't gotten a single thing to work... :bang:
I must be missing something *painfully* obvious to everyone else...

I just want to be able to route, say, osc 1 through one effect, and osc 2 through a different effect...

Post

@beej

If that's what you would like to do then you

- open OSC1 on channel 1 in the grid
- open OSC2 on channel 2 in the grid
- in the mixer below the grid set the output of channel 2 to bus 1
- turn up the return knob below the grid in the bottom pane.

If you turn down the master channel you should still hear the return 1

This synth sounds good and is pretty cool, but is out of my price range at the moment. I have all the synths I need right now. If the intro price was lower it might have made it into the upper limits of my impulse buy catagory, but for now and probably later it will be unpurchased.

If I was looking for a synth this would more than likely be it.
