Things do seem to be fluid at the moment (to a certain extent), so I guess it is a work in progress.
Sadly the one constant during these little changes to the content etc. at the right hand of the screen seems to be the fixed & narrow forum content on the left.
TBH though, if I wanted to check the latest reviews, latest additions to the plug in database or latest music posted in the music cafe i'd prefer to have the option of finding those things myself, rather than have large areas of space taken up by them on the right hand side whilst i'm actually just wanting to browse forum posts.
edit: I do, however, like the concept of the music tracker (for instance), just not the implementation particularly.

Wahay! At least the blinding white 'Latest' boxes have been toned down.
Still not liking the claustrophobic layout though.

Yay - one by one the things I didn't like are disappearing!
Shouldn't take long before I'm a die hard fan of the new layout!

I like it.
Despite I use a 20" widescreen monitor with 1680×1050.
Now I'd like something new colour scheme too, as an alternative to this ugly blueish one.
I liked KVR only for its unmatched informativeness and usefulness, but it was ugly in design and it's still ugly in its colour scheme.

I was here complaining yesterday, so I thought I'd check back in to say my only complaint had been addressed. Not that it was done just for me but "thanks!".

although stuff is changing every second... just five minutes ago you did not have to click a link to view the quick reply box

If this crap continues I'm out of here soon. Can't this board have a nice looking, easily accessible layout? It's a damned forum, that's why we're here, so give message writing/reading functionailty the top priority it deserves.
Plus, the colors are so badly selected, it makes my head ache. Have a look at Gearslutz, that's a good design (apart from the missing my posts function and the bad search engine).

As a heavy mobile phone internet user I have to say that the new layout is much MUCH better than the old. It works extremely well with Opera Mini 4 beta and Nokia's web browser.
This message was typed on my Nokia N95 paired with the new Apple Wireless keyboard (which is AWESOME!!!), while sitting on the buss on my way home from work.
Cheers!

I wonder how the percentage of mobile phone viewers and home computer viewers compares though?
