In your MySteinberg account you can easily see what has been registered.
Choose the e-licences, click the + sign .
PadshopPro will be there as an extension.

Might I add -
I can't remember my password so i request one via email - it says

"The email address I have entered does not belong to any activated user account"

So I go to register, get to page two and get this message on page two "Error: Email Address already Registered"

I don't know what the f**k is going on I either have a registered email account or I don't and according to "My Steinberg" it doesn't exist and according to the registration for creating an account it already is and when I tried it yesterday it wouldn't accept my eLicense Number and I have received all purchase confirmation email from Steinberg but nothing else at that address.

Seriously at 44 it's the most f**ked up shit I've ever had to deal with on a computer in many year and quite funny really.

I finally bought Padshop Pro. I have to say... I am quite impressed! I'm a great fan and true lover of Alchemy, it's one of my main tools for rich ambient sounds, drones & pads. But I must admit it, Padshop is amazing and going to bite a good chunk in the granular portion of the pie. I still prefer the general workflow of Alchemy and all its modulation craziness, but sonically in the granular realm Padshop does an amazing job, seriously :-o

Hours of fun coming for me... :D

@ FaX: By any means, contact Steinberg support. They're the most helpful people ever, seriously. I once had a problem with registering Cubase LE 5, and they were very helpful and competent. It's much better than raging your a** off here. :)

I am actually laughing my ass off - to old for the rage thing (it really is amusing me no end).
I also apparently have cookies disabled (which I don't) so it's a bit of a right old laugh if you ask me.
I'll wait and see what the licenser does - as it stands i can load, save, recall patches etc fine in logic and add new samples and so on and so forth (which i would imagine the demo wouldn't do) so it's all quite useable bar the really odd business with creating an account.

Well, maybe it works for you now... but in my experience it is absolutely necessary to create your Steinberg account in order to use their products. For example you can obtain extra activations for your products only by using your Steinberg.net account. So really, i strongly recommend to contact them and get that thing sorted.

I have to admit that while I love Steinberg's products, generally speaking, I always have to hold my breath during installation when it comes to the elicensing part. I don't mind the CONCEPT of the dongle or otherwise begrudge Steinberg for wanting solid protection, but the process seems a little arcane, and I never know if I'm doing it right until I'm done. (Kind of like sex for me actually... :D )

It seems that the dongle software always has to be updated on installation, then license keys are permanently assigned a home somewhere. And to add to my confusion, I now have 2 Syncro keys (one for Cubase, one for Halionsonic) because I'm too nervous to even try to attempt consolidating the licenses onto just 1 key for fear of somehow losing it in the ether.

That said, Padshop Pro was well worth the effort. Great sound. It is now my go to on pads.

Cheers

So many plugins, so little time...

I just used the elicenser for Retrologue's installation and all went well. No Dongle required and the elicenser doesn't seem to be malicious so far.

I asked this in another thread:

Anybody else have trouble moving the Sub Osc Wave Type knob? Right now I've got it stuck and it won't move at all....

I finally got the Sub Osc knob to move but it's very hit and miss. Very difficult to move........ :?

EDIT: I've discovered a workaround...Enable the Mod Wheel to the Sub Osc Wave Knob, move it, then Disable the MW....hardly elegant but it works......

Still no demo version? Almost like they don't want to sell it..

I'm considering buying them but I really don't won't to pay the 19% extra for living in the Eurozone.

Is there a way around this?

Good thing I have Kore - I am making a template that will allow me to control it, organise presets better, and expose params to hosts that have meaningful names.
OK this is done now - the template enables full control of both layers, potential for live morphing, much better preset management including tagging and ratings, and clearer automation in hosts using logical labels instead of numbers.

Sorry to Windows users but unfortunately Steinberg didn't make a VST2 for the Mac version so I have had to make it with the AU so this is Mac only unless I get round to installing it on my old laptop and have some spare time to make a Win VST version too.
I've made one for Windows now too using the VST2 version:

I'll be updating the Mac AU version shortly as I learnt a few things mapping the Windows version - it helps to have proper param names (the AU just has numbers)

Is it me or are the presets in Padshop really good? I rarely even think for a second about using presets in my music at all and yet I can imagine using most of the ones I've sampled so far... Perhaps it's because I haven't quite got my head around the GUI yet (though I'm nearly there!).

Hey gang,

I bought and installed Padshop on my Mac, to use as an AU in Logic. During the installation, I guided the installer to place the sampled content on another hard-drive than the plug. After registration, the plug-in opens up, but none of the samples or presets load (they show up in their respective drop-down menu). And I can't find any place in the GUI where I could tell Padshop where the samples are. Suggestions? :?

The sample paths in the preset are written absolute I was told by someone from Steinberg, so you would have to manually reload the samples into each patch by using the sample browser in the sample window at the top. Maybe try making an alias folder which is linked to your external HD, the factory sample location on a Mac should be (it's a locked sample container):
HD (not user)/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/Padshop/VST Sound/

and the user samples will automatically be put here after dropping them into Padshop
User(you)/Documents/Steinberg/Padshop/Samples/User Samples
