So can I move my keyboard shortcuts from V4 to V5 just by moving them into the V5 folder? Or do they need to be redone. Also the default scrolling behavior I set up in V4.

Jo said you can copy the User folder over from v4 to v5 so surely that should work

Just DLd the Waves element demo, and realized MuLab doesn't recognize the WaveShell VST. Will Waves plugins work with MuLab??? Hmmm...

Forget about this f**king WaveShell...DHR53 wrote:Just DLd the Waves element demo, and realized MuLab doesn't recognize the WaveShell VST. Will Waves plugins work with MuLab??? Hmmm...
Google for shell2vst.exe and shell2vst64.exe... download them and drag n drop the waveshell.dll on the exe file...
It creates a Waves folder with link dlls to all the individual plugins of your installed package...much easier to handle than this f**king shell, which caused problems since the first day...

I agree with Trancit and have no plans to add special support for that shell thing. Hopefully there is a workaround on Mac too.

See http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... ation.html -> "Updating an existing MuLab installation".DHR53 wrote:So can I move my keyboard shortcuts from V4 to V5 just by moving them into the V5 folder? Or do they need to be redone. Also the default scrolling behavior I set up in V4.

Er, well the Waves plugins are a huge number of pretty great processing plugs that with the price reductions (recently) are too good to pass up. Especially if your a Mac user. To eliminate all Waves plugins from the Mac side of MuLab is not a good decision AFAIK. Since they work fine in Logic 9... Sorry to hear that.

Have a google on this subject and you'll see that the shell thing causes many probs.
Alternative solution: Ask Waves to deliver their plugs in a non-complicated format.

The next version automatically filters away those legacy "Unnamed Composition" names, so those compositions will use the default naming, which is the same name as the sessionmutools wrote:"Unnamed composition" you mean?DHR53 wrote:Seems like the "session paradigm" is still a moving target... Can't say I get it still. Why for instance, does it open up my sessions I've named... as "unnamed session"???
Well the only reason that can be is because it is a session saved with MuLab 4 or before. So the name "Unnamed Composition" is the effective name of the composition. If you want to get rid of that name, open the composition context menu (right-cick composer background or right-click relevant composition in the browser) -> Rename and clear the name.

I just noticed two (to me) HUGE things! And no, im not talking about a female's frontal parts.
I can set channel for midi shortcuts!!!
I can drag a module from mux onto a track so i no longer have to rightclick and select! Fan-freakin'-tastic!!!! Im thrilled!!!
This isn't just the best host now, but also the second best as well

I have only just downloaded 5.0.31 and have yet to explore the new features in detail. One thing I have noticed already, though, is that Mulab 5 appears to be a lot less responsive to mouse clicks. It may be that my PC is having a bad hair day, but I am often having to click either left or right buttons several times before I get any response. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be annoying. I went back into Mulab 4 and the mouse buttons worked first time without exception.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've been using it for about a week and i can't say that i thought much of it. Sometimes I've had some sluggishness with the mouse but that could be because of other plugins/background programs.
