the entries are amazing! I could not get it to work, it sputters too much. Any chance this contest can be extended a few days?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We still have a few hours technically. You're all picking on me

bjporter - Planet Adventure on Space Ship Aalto
https://soundcloud.com/bjporter/bjporte ... venture-on
It starts off with the officers on Space Ship Aalto having a jolly good dance. Waking up the next morning they are in a mythical, mysterious, and magical world to explore. Amazing creatures, vegetation, and flora. After experiencing some buffer size issues with Space Station Aalto, they decide to head back to ship. While on the journey through the planet's stratosphere, they become restless, and dance the journey away....
Close your eyes, put away the broccoli for once, and try to imagine you arrived on this strange planet world. Kick back... rub some cold pressed coconut oil on your face, let loose. The exploration begins.
Cubase 6
Instances: 55
Note: All sounds were original except the following: The tingly cymbol in the middle, and the flute. The clap was tweaked by me.
Plugins: TAL Reverb III, Flux Bittersweet, Host Ping Pong, ReverberateLE GPU Video Card Edition, Host Channel EQ, Voxengo SPAN, MDSP s(M)exescope

Mike777, real quick tips here in Case V'ger grants you permission:Mike777 wrote:the entries are amazing! I could not get it to work, it sputters too much. Any chance this contest can be extended a few days?
Set your sample size to 256... try that. It worked for Evo2slo and I.
I use cubase, and when I load my project it either DOES NOT WORK, so I have to close cubase and try again several times. When it DOES WORK I have to wait about 20 seconds before the stuttering stops - then it's fine.
You might need to restart. Also, I turned off my Audio Interface, and used the ASIO4ALL drivers which run off my integrated sound card on the motherboard.
--------------------------------------------------------------
All in all it was an EXTREMELY frustrating experience. However when it does work it's AMAZING... so the developer is on the right track for sure. It's a synth for the future... as CPU speeds increase, it'll be able to handle 40 to 60 instances.

Hey, I got into a cover band and that took up all my PC music making time. But I can now do some more contests. Great to hear from you!IrionDaRonin wrote:Wow, long time man!Mike777 wrote:the entries are amazing! I could not get it to work, it sputters too much. My favourite melodic arpeggio-man is here.
How have been so long?
I hope everything is fine there.
Have a nice day
