You‘re the only one here who does not have it already.
Not quite true. :)

I used to have this synth. I sold it a couple years ago. There are a few things keeping me from buying it again:
1. Limited modulation options. I’m not including the scripting language possibilities, which at this point is more of a bandaid as opposed to a meaningful synth update. I shouldn’t have to learn a scripting language to do what Drumspillage or Tremor have been able to do for years.
2. Limited synthesis options. Microtonic’s oscillators are pretty flexible for subtractive synthesis, but there are many percussion sounds it fails to do out of the box. Membrane modeling, FM, resonators, saturation algorithms, etc. Again, I know scripting can alleviate the FM limitation, it’s not ideal.
3. The sequencer. I don’t like it. 16 steps unless you chain them together, but you can’t see more than 16 at once. No per-step modulation, which is a huge miss in a modern sequencer.

I just never found myself reaching for it anymore, so I sold it. Though Drumspillage doesn’t have a sequencer, it gets me where I want much faster. Personal opinion of course.

Go for it
Yeah, I already have Permut8, Echobode and BitSpeek :)
Then there should be an attractive discount for you I guess.
If not, why not ask them?
Friendly guys.

I also have Echobode RE and BitSpeak RE, but no discount for Microtonic, only for bundle of remaining products which I'm not interested it. Wrote to support, we'll see :)

Echobode is excellent. You should also try Permut8!

I bought it some time ago and I really like it. Especially after the update where they beefed up the low end. The randomize feature is very cool too, I didn't think I use it much, but whatever way it has been configured I always find some really good and unique sounds. :)

I actually went with microtonic instead - i just found it easier to fit in a mix and get song-ready sounds with it

Maybe one for another day. ;) But you can't go wrong with Microtonic (I have it as well).

I should probably ask on the official forum or email the developer, but sine I'm here: I bought this way back in 2003. Is that license valid for current versions?
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Yes, it's still valid.
Have a look into your sonic charge account.
