Be aware though, that sound wise, it's kind of the same (digital) department, at least as far as i'm concerned. If you have z3ta+, there's a cheap upgrade option btw, only 49€, so if you have a copy from a mag's DVD, you can use it to upgrade.V0RT3X wrote: Seriously I want to like Rapture but it's hard. I am going to probably buy it's big brother "Z3ta2" because I know that is one powerful product.
It depends. If you like the sound of Rapture LE and want more control over the presets and the ability to create your own presets, then it would be a good deal.Examigan wrote:I have Rapture LE already, so not sure if it's worth upgrading for the $19

The upgrade normally is $49 to go from LE to the full version...but I don't really use it much. Maybe I would if I had all the additional options in the full version.scook wrote:It depends. Tons of stuff in that expansion...last day of the sale...argghh..what to dobftucker wrote:One last thing: I never did "pull the trigger" on Dimension Pro. Instead, I spent my $20 on Rapture patches.
To quote another thread:
"Fr4ncesco is being modest Wink I see he also has a NEW set of patches (actually an entire expansion with EGs, LFO's, waves etc) which are on sale during the CW sale. Definitely a no-brainer after hearing his work on Muz3um."

I'd get X2 also, but it doesn't run on XP. I have a Win7 dvd my brother bought me a while ago, but I need a new PC to install it on as this one just too old for 7.GeorgeZ wrote:Same boat, got half a mind to just plump up and upgrade to X2, get it over and done with as I need it for beta testing in any way (for host compatibility)... that way I'll then get Rapture as well (and will most likely not feel as pressured to use it immediately if it's bought "alone").
FWIW, this is not entirely accurate. X2 is not supported on XP or Vista and the x2a update will not install on XP however; people have reported using X2 on XP. If you do decide to get X2 and load it on XP, there is a quickfix for X2 (Producer only) that addresses some stability issues that does load on XP.Examigan wrote:

Anyway, have to decide today, last day of sale.
Make sure to refresh the program browser with the F5 key. There are two parts to the expansion packs the Multisamples and Programs. In 64bit installations the multisamples data default to "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Rapture\Multisamples" and the programs default to "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs". Note "C:\ProgramData" is a hidden directory. If the 32bit version is installed too, the multisample data may be located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Rapture\Mulitsamples".musikmachine wrote:I just installed the 1&2 expansions but they're not showing up in the standalone or 64bit plugin version, i remember there being a weird issue with the locations in Win7 so what do i do to get them to show up?
thanks. Do run the installer or just do them manually? I couldn't even find the multisamples after installing them.seismic1 wrote:I put the banks into C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs
If you have the multisamples in the default location, the installer will integrate the new samples into the directory tree. The only time I have seen the Rapture installers fail on the samples is when the Multisample directory is not in the default location. In that case, the samples get installed in the default location and need to be merged into the custom location. I do not recall the programs missing "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs" but I guess it is possible. The programs were moved some time ago from the XP location "C:\Documents and Setting\All Users\Application Data\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs" to the new location "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs" After an installation, many times the program browser needs to be manually refreshed with the F5 key.musikmachine wrote:thanks.
