For those who missed the last Cakewalk sale:
http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/Pro ... RP1.00-20E
I like this vst synth a lot, especially with the available mods and patches! I consider it one of my better purchases.
Among the expansion packs that are also on sale, anyone have a recommendation?
(if this post needs to be moved, my apologies)

I have some expansions from the Digital Sound Factory (for Z3ta 2 and Rapture), and I'm very happy with them. They seem to be exceptionally good in emulating analog synths...bftucker wrote:Among the expansion packs that are also on sale, anyone have a recommendation?

So, do you think I would be as pleased with Dimension (at this price) as I am with Rapture?GaryG wrote:Cool.
Dimension Pro for the same price too.

The Rapture Expansion Packs that I would recommend Fisound Universal 120 and Galbanum Pisces are not on sale.
At $20 Dimension Pro is a good value. It has more realistic instrument sounds piano, strings, drums, etc., but has it share of synth sound too.

Do you mean the support? Or the resell policy?ouroboros wrote:Cakewalk is soooo frustrating...
I've never had a problem with Cakewalk synths (till now). Z3ta 2 works great, Rapture works great...even on my old windows OS...
But surely I would think differently if I had a MAC...

I'm getting something no way this gets by me.
I have all three of those and when I upgrade to X2 Rapture is included so I will wait on that but what I am wondering is if the resources in these synths being .wav files it could be possible to use them inside of synthmaster and alchemy for those of you who use those synths.
Is anyone using these resources in other synths? I will try to see if I can use some of the Z3ta wavetables in synthmaster and the wav files in dim pro also.
Actually the one I want is the emu pack that has 3500 sounds and it comes in different formats like kontakt, soundfont etc.. and is not on sale plus I too want the Galbanum and Fr4nsisco's packs are more impressive in terms of usability still its only $20.
