I didn't get an email from Waldorf for 33% off my update from v1 and I bought it directly from Waldorf's online shop. It even shows my order under the account login. Has anyone else been skipped over?

I JUST got the email like 2 minutes ago.

I learned about the upgrade on Waldorf's Facebook page, and they list the coupon code there as well.

Like in Walodrf Edition v1 in Waldorf Edition 2 VST3 and AAX plugins (and also for VST2 while usually there this works with the host file browser) you could load fxb/fxp files into the plugin by drag & drop from the File browser (e.g. Windows Explorer) onto the GUI.

Here are the Waldorf Edition presets in different formats for e.g. VST3, AAX and also in Bitwig Studio format (Bitwig uses VST2 but opposing to other hosts does not load/save fxb/fxp files in the host):

A comment concerning the "Random Kit" and "Random Sound" feature in Attack:

The Audio Output is included with the Random feature. This means that if you have only one Audio output activated in your host a random sound could stay silent.

Solutions are either switching the Output of the desired instrument to 1 or activating/using all 6 outputs in your host.

Attack Full Version question:

Can I assign (for example)

Kick to Delay to output 1
Hi Hat to EQ to output 2
Claps to Drive to output 3
Snare to Phaser to output 4
Conga to Flanger to output 5
Tom to Reverb to output 6

And am I correct that with the LE Edition I can assign drums to only 1 FX unit since there is only 1 stereo out?

Yes that example is possible with the full version. The maximum usable effects in one instance are 6, one for each output (and all could be played at once). You coudl also assign multiple instruments to an output.
If you need more than 6 different effects you will have to use 2 instances.
The effect amount (Dry/Wet) is adjustable for each of the 24 instruments (using the Mix knob).

I do not know details about the LE version.

You're welcome. :)

Before i forget also my free PPG 2.V bank is compatible with Waldorf Edition 2 and i added all formats there (including Bitwig format):

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&t=418294

If you like you could also import fxb/fxp files by drag & drop from Windows Explorer which is the way i creted the different formats. For this the EXE file of teh Host has to be started without administrator rights (from the properties in the right-click menu for the EXE file or the desktop link)

It is also available as a dedicated fxb for PPG wave 3.V wit ha few additional patches and also one PPG Wave 3.V version with a few samples.

For those who missed that feature in the old Waldorf Edition:

The Attack instruments 13-24 could be played pplyphonic, starting from C3 at the keyboard.
The instrument played in the upper part of teh keyboard depends on the MIDI channel assigned to Attack (in the instrument track or an additional MIDI track). This mean Channel 1 corresponds to Instrumnet 13 and Channel 12 to instrument 24.
Using the polyphonic feature is quuite useful for some of the new Samples. In the lower part it should be possible to play the drum sounds (one key for each sound) at the same time.

What's this about the 'install Attack Samples' option I see in the V2 installer window. I thought Attack was purely a drum synth?

Nice update price. Thanks!
