Nearly forgot, to do this, sorry. Anyways, Ive just tested the x64 versions of everything in the AIEP (Loom, VaccPro, Hybrid3, Transfuser yadda yadda) in Tracktion 6.2 x64, loading/replacing the same MIDI track, with no problems whatsoever. Win 7x64, Intel 2700K, 16Gb RAM.

Maybe it's a Win thing then? On the other hand have you tried dragging the plugin dll into the plugin page window? I always install my plugins in Tracktion that way so I don't use the builtin scan.zenconcepts wrote:They will stall during the scan and I will have to click cancel; on Windows 8 it will not load any of them and disable them all. It will only load Transfuser on Windows 7.aMUSEd wrote:Are they stalling on the plugin scan itself or do they get scanned in but stall when you try and insert them into a project?zenconcepts wrote:Hello,
I've noticed that Tracktion 6 will stall on the loading of AIR Music Technology plugins via Windows 7/8 x64; it automatically disables them. Just wish there was an option to enable the plugins anyway, as they all work fine in other DAWs I've tried to load them in. Samplitude, SONAR, Reaper, Ableton, FL Studio, Renoise, Mixcraft.
I've tried re-installing them, updating them, renaming them. Nothing works.
On Mac I have Loom and Hybrid both working fine in T6.
I bought the bundle from AIR that comes with a wide variety of plugins, which all seem to load fine except AIRs own plugins. It also disables the Way Out Ware (SONiVOX) - TimewARP 2600, had to download trials of other DAWs to register them.

Tried to use the beta version of Trackion 6 as well, still the same.

Found a rather annoying bug tonight while marking edit points on a mix tonight.
Tracks move while moving markers.
Here's how to repeat it.
Re-size tracks so that only one or two tracks fit on the edit screen. Scroll down to view lower tracks in the edit. Create a marker with the marker track open. Now move the marker and watch as the edit jumps up to the top tracks.

I've found out the problem. It's the plugins themselves. The bundle I received from AIR are developed differently than the regular iLok version of their plugins. When I update them, Tracktion recognizes all of them. Now the only problem is the bundle I bought doesn't require iLok, but the updates do. So I can't use the plugins until I figure something out with AIR support because the bundle has no activation codes for iLok. I'll try dragging them in too though.aMUSEd wrote: Maybe it's a Win thing then? On the other hand have you tried dragging the plugin dll into the plugin page window? So technically, the bundle does work in all the other DAWs I've tried. Just not in Tracktion 6 for now.

Ok,
So it has nothing to do with any of that. Tracktion in x32 recognizes the whole x32 bundle. I might just send them over the installation package for x64.

They were not 'developed differently', they moved the whole bundle to iLok a couple of updates ago. But you can use the soft authorisation, you don't need an iLok. I do recall the earlier versions having more problems with Tracktion than they do now.zenconcepts wrote:I've found out the problem. It's the plugins themselves. That's the thing. Once I update them to a newer version it erases my authorization. In fact, none of the plugins .exe Authorizers work after I update them. They simply wont open. The only thing that opens is new iLok software that was installed. Even though I do have an iLok key from long ago, this bundle does not come with iLok authorization keys. When I run the newly updated plugins in Tracktion 6, they are recognized but I am prompt to enter an iLok authorization key. All that came with the bundle are serial numbers for the plugins themselves. I've tried to contact AIR Tech but they are acting like they have no idea.aMUSEd wrote:They were not 'developed differently', they moved the whole bundle to iLok a couple of updates ago. I'm not finding any problems with the plugins themselves, so I don't see it as a faulty plugin. They work in x64 Reaper, Pro Tools, Samplitude, FL Studio, Mixcraft, Ableton, Renoise, Cubase, Sonar, Harrison Mixbus, Aurdour, Bitwig, MuTools, Podium, ACID. Pretty much everything except x64 Tracktion 6.

Could you clarify. Your two posts here are making it sound like Tracktion is the only host where it prompts you for an iLok authorisation key, and that in all the other hosts these plugins are currently opening without that prompt. Is that correct?I'm not finding any problems with the plugins themselves, so I don't see it as a faulty plugin. FWIW, In May, I realised I'd been running an older version of Loom, and when I updated had to request a new license code directly. You might want to try what I did, and email directly...

I will check this out. This might be the solution.whyterabbyt wrote:

Edit: Weirdly, upgading to Windows 10 (and reauthorising SC plugins) seems to have mitigated
Sonic Charge plugs seem to be broken (at least for me) in 6.2.1 Win x64:

FEATURE REQUEST
I use midi editing a lot, and I miss the following features:
- The possibility to extend a midi clip to the left
- The possibility to make selected midi note starts equal
- The possibility to alter two independent points on an automation curve at the same time
- The possibility to set tempo points independent from the beats
- The possibility to move selected midi notes (and clips) by an entered value
- The possibility to mark and move controllers (control changes), e.g. Hold Pedal
- The possibility to merge two midi notes (into one long)
- The possibility to keep the start time of a midi note when you move it vertically
- The possibility to have the automation curve points follow the midi notes when you alter the tempo
- The possibility to snap to the nearest midi note
In addition to the midi editing features above, I would like to have these features:
- The possibility to set a prefered position of all plugin windows (new plugin windows will open at that position)
- Keyboard shortcuts for quantizing
I hope to see all this in Tracktion very soon!
Thanks!

Running T6 on Windows 8.
Used to work fine.
Now if I try to open T6 the entire computer freezes, rendering the whole machine useless.
Not good.

Hi,
am a newbie so please be kind!
I use Tracktion to play back midi files of an accompaniment, while recording mike input (USB or firewire). It works very efficiently. I love the ability to loop through particular bars, record multiple takes, choose the best take, and delete the others.
But there is something that would really extend the convenience of a future version of Tracktion for me: the ability to capture video as well as audio. As matters stand, I video the entire recording session and once a suitable take has been found for the audio, it's a matter of using another application to find the video footage corresponding to the good take, and time align it to the exported Tracktion audio mix. A bit messy, and time consuming.
I realize that a DAW is really for audio not video and any video capability would need to be kept to the basics. (Not least because video can be very resource intensive.)
For me, another useful way to use video would be to have a video clip playing back in Tracktion and for the musos to be able to see that clip as they were performing and time their performance to it.
This type of suggestion to incorporate video may have been made in the past, and not taken up. But would it seem a possibility in the foreseeable future?
Cheers,
MLXXX (Brisbane, Australia)
