Depends which +1/+2
You have 2 outputs ..these ad a constant value ( like dc offset ) .
And then there's the +1/+2 in the modulation dialogue box (under control amount ), these also ad an offset to the modulation amount , iow for a bigger mod.amount ..these are like mulipliers ..

It would be better to give the modulation amount knob a bigger range ..

They have to do with how modulation depth is scaled.

+1 is the default for all the cable-based modulations, as you've probably noticed, and it doesn't change anything, it multiplies the depth by 1, so, no change. +2 expands the modulation range, I'm assuming by a multiple of 2. Why these read + instead of x, however, is beyond me.

should be x2 x3

the arp could use a gate mod knob
