I actually asked this through email.
Apparently SB2 and SB3 are treated as separate plugins, so your SB2 will be left unchanged, and you'll have new SB3 vst with just one module (if I understood him right)
This also means that all your current projects will not automatically use the new upgrade, and you will now have to install and maintain two different SB versions (2+3)
For me, this coupled with the annoying way snap switches off at project load was enough to make me hold off upgrading the bundle and stick with Melda for now
Hoping this could change in the future though!
These plugins really are a joy to work with

We've just updated ShaperBox to v3.2.1.
We've added an octave offset for the LFO's MIDI Pitch mode. This is useful for zooming in/out horizontally in the Oscilloscope Tool, and for creating AM/FM-type effects in Shapers.
Plus we've improved the preset filter in the Library. You can now select multiple Shapers, and you can exclude Shapers (click to show presets containing selected Shapers; right-click (or use any modifier) to exclude Shapers; drag to quickly select multiple Shapers).
Many of you have asked for the preset filter improvement since we released ShaperBox 3.0 at the end of October. I am sorry that it took so long to do - we've gone through quite some iterations until we had an implementation that worked fine for us.

Download the ShaperBox 3.2.1 update from your account, or try the demo.
ShaperBox 3 is still on sale for €89 / $89 with our Winter discount.

Very nice update! The preset system for Shaperbox is now best in class. So easy to find what you’re looking for. I think Shaperbox just became my favorite multi-effect plug, dethroning Tantra.

Dan Worrall has posted an in-depth look at ShaperBox 3! This video covers everything from basic operation and classic uses like sidechaining… on through to advanced topics like audio-rate modulation, multiband acoustic drum gating, dynamic guitar distortion, understanding crossovers and phase… and more

Just out of curiousity: Can Shaperbox do something that Devious Machines Infiltrator can't? Does anyone own both and can compare?

(Cutting and pasting a post I made a while ago, I'm pretty sure it's all still relevant/correct)ancient7 wrote: Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:53 pm Just out of curiousity: Can Shaperbox do something that Devious Machines Infiltrator can't? Does anyone own both and can compare?
They each have their strengths. On the whole, Infiltrator has "more"... more effects, more envelopes, more options.
ShaperBox's strength is (relative) ease of use. The interface is less busy and has good consistency between modules. Curve editing is very intuitive.
They each have some things the other doesn't, though:
- Infiltrator has the effects sequencer in addition to all the curve-based modulations, which opens up a lot of options.
- ShaperBox is multi-band; Infiltrator isn't (although it has a multi-band compressor as one of the options).
- You can have multiple instances of the same effect in Infiltrator.
- NoiseShaper is a unique and useful processor. Infiltrator doesn't have anything like it, although Devious Machines also makes a plugin called Texture which is like NoiseShaper squared... of course that costs quite a bit more.
- Infiltrator offers MIDI output from its curves and modulators, for controlling other plugins. ShaperBox doesn't, although Cableguys also make MIDIShaper... again, of course that adds to the cost.
I know it's cliche to say "try them yourself and decide", but, well, probably you should - they have a lot of similarities, but a lot of differences too, and you could easily just find you get along with one of them better than the other. While you're at it, you should probably at least take a peek as DS Audio's "Tantra 2", which isn't as flexible or as attractive as either of them, but has some charms of its own... and being from Plugin Alliance, it's frequently about $30 (in fact, right now you can get it for $30, or get it plus three other plugins for $60).

They are very similar in function. Each has it's own way of creating and editing curves. Each also has it's own effects selection. In this way Infiltrator is more complex with more effect options and simultaneous tracks. It's also more flexible in some ways than ShaperBox. ShaperBox has a faster workflow because it's less complex. Both sound good and have their own thing going on. I don't consider them redundant. ShaperBox supports multi-band processing with each effect, which to my knowledge Infiltrator 2 doesn’t yet do.ancient7 wrote: Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:53 pm Just out of curiousity: Can Shaperbox do something that Devious Machines Infiltrator can't? Does anyone own both and can compare?
I’d be happy to be proven wrong as this is the one reason I haven’t bought Infiltrator yet (which would most likely be a replacement of ShaperBox).

This question is silly, because at the end you need bothancient7 wrote: Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:53 pm Just out of curiousity: Can Shaperbox do something that Devious Machines Infiltrator can't? Does anyone own both and can compare?

Corrected that for you, with a good DAW (with strong automation/modulation) you might not need any of the three, but you might need them to feed your GAS…
