I grabbed it now. Well, though i really began to feel that eq's (the same as compressors) too much in owned list, but just h-eq was once in my wish list long time ago, so, i just thought why not for 25$, and grabbed without try demo. The main scares was about often mentioned in forums cpu usage in h-eq. Well, i install and surprisingly it's absolutely no this problem here, even in my old PC, just something like 3-4%. For compare as example - really hungry this is GEQ Modern, which eat more than 10% for me. (GEQ Classic version better, aprox the same as H-Eq).systmu wrote:Whats the deal with this H-eq? I hear it doesn't stand up compared to fabfilter and DMG Eq series or even the $20 tonebooster EQ. You can get some color yeah but it's not great compared to whats come out the last few years. I'm on the fence with this one even at such a cheap price. Thoughts?
Well, about something interesting that found after short test, it's perhaps THD level feature, which produce interesting distortions at bigger levels, with very different character for each "analog" algorithm. Well, again, it's mid\side ability (though it's not a something special today for for eq's perhaps, but anyway).
It seems it all.
About built-in note keyboard - slightly disappointment was that it's not controlable from midi (just by mouse click), could have been some interesting addition for fx purposes.
