@cthonophonic @WasteLand
Thanks for answering. I'm not that happy with the modulation options in Softube Modular, the mod sources of Parallels should be part of the basic plugin.
In terms of modulation I have found meanwhile a different approach that I really like. For more individual modulations, I use the Softube Modular as an audio FX plugin "trick" (sorry when I mention this before). Only two inputs, but it's possible to work with them. I also regularly use the mod wheel as a mod source.

I finally managed to visualize CV signals with the scope in Reaktor.
You just have to press "Block DC On Aux Out" and of course you have to use the aux output. Damn....

...which kind of begs the question: holy crap Softube why doesn't Modular include a scope? You could always run Modular as an instrument in VCV Rack 2's Host plugin.

I agree that Modular should include more sequencers and mod sources (and of course a scope) in the basic package. It would also be nice to have 8 aux inputs as well as the aux outputs.

Somewhere in this thread I saw a suggestion to update my softube to latest versions. I did that today and it fixed an annoying slow/glitchy graphics problem I was having in softube modular (particularly with sequencers that showed a changing number display). Thought I would mention here in case anyone had a similar problem.

I was wrong, at least the Rings module is great too.Rastkovic wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 12:49 pmI'm just own the Braids module. It sounds good, better than the VCV Rack emulation, but I wouldn't buy it again. I have not much use for it. The other two MI modules are definitely not my cup of tea.JUSTINO wrote: Fri Dec 17, 2021 11:51 ami am trialing the mutable inst ones on softube but am not impressed - at first i thought i would get on sale but now dont like it, not sure the port sounds as good as the real thing.
Maybe the MI modules would make more sense in combination with other digital modules and in an environment like VCV Rack.
For me, especially in conjunction with the Saturation Knob module....

Got up today and thought right I gotta buy heartbeat - what a great unit , lots to like on it , still needs beat to be done with other samples to make it good - but heartbeat has a lot of controllability.
sale is on tommo for the Model 72. hopefully its going to be a good price.

Not my favorite Tape plugin (IK still wins, then Satin), but it can be pretty good once you dig into the service panel (why that's not exposed on the GUI by default is beyond me).

Ok.. I haven't gotten their (softube's) email yet, but on their website this is what I see.
Btw I already have their Tape, night be tempted for the Hamonics at the right price.
Never tried the IK one but I have never really been impressed with any IK stuff that I have bought recently (that is when Amplitube 1 and 2 were the only game in town, I used them, but haven't used any other IK stuff in yearsssssss), and not a fan of Satin either.
I use exclusively UAD-2 tapes..

edit: I lie.. I do use IK MixBox sometimes.. completely forgot about that.

The IK tapes are a different ballgame entirely for them. They eat CPU like there's no tomorrow, but they're the best thing that company puts out by far. Note: I'm talking the regular tape collection not the Tascam set.

Also a very nice combination. Doepfer (PWM) oscillator + Model 72 modules....
