How often does XLN do sales on Addictive Drums? I saw that I just missed the last one at 50% off. Been meaning to pick it up for a while.

Might be worth checking some of the resellers, remember that one had the discount going unofficially after a previous sale ended for a few weeks after (sorry, can't remember which).sellyoursoul wrote:How often does XLN do sales on Addictive Drums? Otherwise Black Friday should be the next option.

I've been watching the sales of XLN for the past two years (I've also been meaning to pick AD2 up) and they've done "50% off everything" sales once a season. Summer sale, Spring sale, Christmas sale (winter) and Black Friday (fall).sellyoursoul wrote:How often does XLN do sales on Addictive Drums? I saw that I just missed the last one at 50% off. EDIT: I have just looked through the XLN newsletter emails I've been receiving for the past 2 years and I can confirm that they've had one big 50% sale once per season.

It appears we spoke too soon:evilantal wrote:I can't recall them ever having a sale.Backsnack wrote:Does anyone know if Tokyo Dawn Records/Labs does sales on their plugins? I realize they have a Slick EQ GE & Slick EQ M edition bundle for 60 euros. But I'm curious if I should hold out until the holidays before pulling the trigger on the new Limiter 6 GE.
Not even introductory sales.

thejonsolo wrote:They are all quite different. Capriccio and Sotto are two of my favorite. Now is the time to snag Sotto. It is quite inexpensive. I also have Espressivo which offers some nice flavors. I got Ostinato and Vivace last Black Friday as well and was not disappointed.
I want Grosso and Maximo because they offer two different epic kits. Very good stuff that adds some great flavor to your leads.
Looking their site for this stuff I find a bit confusing since there seems to be overlap between products, which doesn't mean its a bad thing, but I just wish it was stated.
Just looking at their phrase libraries, I would think you could cover quite a bit of ground between Sotto, Capriccio, Grosso, Maximo, Expressivo and Tutti.
Vivace seems to overlap over all those, but to what extent I'm still not certain.
Minimal, also seems to overlap and seems like a forerunner to their current phrase engines... but again, how much overlap vs how unique is not clear.
For Tutti, I think it would help if they would updated the UI to mesh better with Sotto, Capriccio, Grosso, Maximo and Expressivo since it seems quite unique in that lineup.
Anyway, Sotto looks like quite a nice pickup. I don't have a use for this right now, but I may get it just because I've become a fan of Capriccio and this would compliment Capriccio very nicely.

Great community here, thanks to all so far on their Sonokinetic thoughts. I think I'm going to pick up Sotto.

They didn't mention anywhere in the product description that you need an ilok account (no USB dongle) to authorize that stuff - an absolute no-go for me.

I really don't get why so many shops are advertising a 49$ "sale" on Train Your Ears like it's a thing, even though the devs themselves declared over a year ago, that 49$ ist the new permanent price

Still a great piece of software thoughhttps://www.trainyourears.com/ wrote:Final price was 89€, but the 49€ launch offer was such a success that we sold twice as expected.
After a lot of thought we decided to keep this reduced price forever
