It would be nice to have these numbers around the pot. We could just click on it,Chapelle wrote:I'm sometimes struggling with setting the Semitone knob of the sub-oscs in Hive to exactly the value I want (Sometimes it's always 0.20 off, drives me crazy). Would it be possible to add some common values (at least octaves (-24, -12, 0, 12, 24)) to the right-click context menu, so one would be able to set it to those values quickly?
without opening any submenu.

Mod mapper improvements - apologies if these have been requested already...
1) allow us to set an arbitrary number of steps up to 128, instead of only big jumps after 12.
2) create a setting that will still change the value in key or increment mode when playing legato.
I was doing some ad hoc microtuning experiments today using the modmapper mapped to tuning and those additions would make things much cooler for that... and for other applications. I guess this mainly applies to Zebra 2 but it would be nice in Ace and Bazille as well.

Hi,
for Hive (maybe other?) I wish a very obvious feature:
Make a category in preset browser called "Favorites", where all favorited presets are listed.
It's done in Nexus as well, and I like that behaviour very much!
So, is it possible to implement?

That's high up on our priority list. Actually, it's very high up.PepeLopez wrote:Hi,

Zebra - XY panels' improvements:
- a single button to reset all
- an option to enable magnet behaviour in each: when you leave the locator very close to the centre and you let go of the mouse, it will automatically jump to zero. This will help immensely when performing certain patches (I build tons of patches of stupidly complex loops), like when you've changed MSEG speeds or pitch - types of changes you really need to get precisely back to zero. Double-clicking isn't ideal for this.
As a side note, I'm really very perplexed that most preset designers (according to Urs) don't really make use of the XY panels. They are immensely powerful design and performance tools, especially if you've mapped parameters with some thought. I suppose time is one factor.
Anyway, as long as Zebra 3 is the same as 2, I'll be perfectly happy.

I would use the X/Y's a lot more if there was a set of 8 snapshot buttons. So a preset could have saved preset states.tedlogan wrote:Zebra - XY panels' improvements:

Not sure if i just overlook it,
but in Zebrify retriggering ENVs/MSEGs/LFOs with the Threshold-Module seems essential for me.
Would love to see it added if its missing right now

Yes, please! I thought many times about such a feature where you can save Snapshots of Device Parameters, morph them by hand and even use envelopes therefore.pdxindy wrote: I would use the X/Y's a lot more if there was a set of 8 snapshot buttons. So a preset could have saved preset states.
I built myself therefore a max4live device, but
I guess everyone would love it if you can do it just in an intuitive way and at audio rate, as i think there isnt anything like that on the market (expect in FM8 or Alchemy . I rarely use them, but i think you cant morph its snapshots with envelopes.).
In a Synth like Zebra it could ofc only work when the same modules are active in the snapshots.
It enhances the productivity a lot.

I did not read your post properly the first time.pdxindy wrote:I would use the X/Y's a lot more if there was a set of 8 snapshot buttons. So a preset could have saved preset states.
Yes, this is a great idea. Some presets have many sweetspots hidden away within certain XY combinations. Currently I save these as different patches, but snapshots would be even better.
Though it is satisfying hunting for that perfect tone or sounds within those, and cracking an 8 digit XY-code.

A certain project forces us to finally deal with preset tagging

We can only add tags to presets atm, hence we don't have a browser for tagged presets yet, but that'll be the next step. While we do this we might also add textual search and favourite folders.
No worries, a lot of tags are set automatically based on preset analysis and on some spiffy logic, i.e. if the category "Bass > Distorted Bass" is chosen, it'll automatically add "distorted" as character tag. Likewise, "Pads > Evolving" will yield "Evolving" as feature.
Once that's done it'll be an optional interface to our existing preset browser. Finding a distinct preset should become rather quick this way!
Also, needless to say, this is super alpha. Neither final graphics nor final categories/keywords.

That's Great !!!
Hope this for the TyrellN6 too
Besides, it would be cool if we could add our own category or sub categories (for example Big leads, dirty leads, same for bass, pads..)

Tagging looks cool.
I really like the idea of snapshots of the XY pads in Zebra! Even cooler would be a snapshot knob or slider which morphed between snapshots. Kind of how Alchemy works. Also kind of how Bazilles sequencer knob works. You assign a bunch of different sequences and then the knob morphs between them. Now image that for the XY controls. So you have for example 8 saved snapshot preset and the knob morphs between them like the Bazille sequencer knob! I'd love to see this on all u-he synths actually.
