Do i am the only one who thinks that output volume knob ratio with the actual output volume is not really enough loud?

When i higher up the sound on output, it barely gets up

Post

You have volume at the oscillators and at the filters too

Compare the loudness you recieve when you move tyrell or bazille output knob to the one on hive.

I haven't tried Tyrell, but I get the same volume increase on Hive and Bazille.

I'd also like to see more gain available at the final output stage. I usually cut the level going into the filters a fair amount to get them sounding the way I prefer. In my typical usage, turning the filter and final outputs up all the way often doesn't get the overall level up high enough, unless I'm running effects that also raise the level. I usually end up having Live's Audio Utility plugin setup after Hive to add an additional final gain stage.

As a workaround you could assign the filter output volume to a "Constant" source in the ModMatrix and adjust the modulation depth to get a higher volume.

The Compressor can do insane amounts of gain staging too.

Thanks for the tip Chapelle. I didn't realize you could push a parameter beyond it's max knob range with the mod matrix.

The compressor can add a lot of gain, but it also does some phase shifting of the signal.

True, but the settings can be adjusted to somewhat avoid that.
The EQ can boost levels as well, and won't effect the tone or similar.
The constant setting in the matrix works great though.

I'm noticing and aliasing types distortion changing parameters in the effects sections. Especially when modulating them ie, distortion amt. Is this a known thing?

With the attached preset you can hear it, or reduce the modulation in MM01 and change the Distortion Amount
Am I the only one hearing this?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Also a fx bypass would be nice on sub osc! Why? Nice to have the low end free of distortion, reverb, or other fx of the bass patch=)

PLEASE URS !!

Are there any more good instructional videos yet? I like the one people recommended before - Basic Overview by Aiyn Zahev. That's excellent. But are there any other good ones or any more planned?

Is Hive going to get unison higher than 16? I'm fine if not, just curious. I'm curious to know what higher than 16 would be like.

Would it go all muddy or would it sound better?
How fast could one fry an egg with 32 unison?

I'm more curious about how the front page says Hive is a bit slower without unison at the moment and if that will change ^^
