If anyone is not planning on using their PA coupon this month and are in the giving mood I would be very grateful for it - I am thinking of picking up SpecOps. I will, of course, offer my unused coupons as a future PA customer here in the forum.

Depends on what you want, Karacter for me is more for full on saturation/distortion esp on FET and Turbo mode and it models a particular device (which by some reports from people that tried/have both it's damn close), Saturator V2 is much more subtle and general purpose. Both do the mid/side thing, karacter is much quicker to use but you have to balance the volume drop when you push the drive. VSM-3 might be more a direct comparison to Karacter but VSM gives you full control over the harmonics. From PA Dent is also great, very nice plug.

Kind of weird, if they know I qualify for crossgrade pricing, why don't they know I already own Kontakt 5 via Komplete ?

Any thoughts on this Sonar version ? Is it worth the try or too crippled to be usable ???

Certainly worth trying if you have a touchscreen. They are working on a Mac version, too. Rapture is excellent by any measure.

Thoughts on Wave Arts Trackplug 5 for $20? How is it on CPU? From what I can tell it's over 10 years old now.

Get similar from Izotope all the time - last time I looked they were trying to sell me the MPB crossgrade for $100 more than I bought it for 2 months back.
