If anyone is not planning on using their PA coupon this month and are in the giving mood I would be very grateful for it - I am thinking of picking up SpecOps. I will, of course, offer my unused coupons as a future PA customer here in the forum.

Depends on what you want, Karacter for me is more for full on saturation/distortion esp on FET and Turbo mode and it models a particular device (which by some reports from people that tried/have both it's damn close), Saturator V2 is much more subtle and general purpose. Both do the mid/side thing, karacter is much quicker to use but you have to balance the volume drop when you push the drive. VSM-3 might be more a direct comparison to Karacter but VSM gives you full control over the harmonics. From PA Dent is also great, very nice plug.evilantal wrote:Out of elysia karacter and bx_saturator V2, which is the one to get in the upcoming PA sale?
Many other choices out there, check this out for a comparison of some saturators incl Karacter:

But I got myself the step filter instead, for free with 15 gear credits

Offer I got from NI now:
"You qualify for special crossgrade pricing on Kontakt 5 – save 150 €."
Kind of weird, if they know I qualify for crossgrade pricing, why don't they know I already own Kontakt 5 via Komplete ?

If you own M-Audio's M-Track 2x2, M-Track 2x2m or M-Track 2x2 Vocal Studio Pro , check your M-Audio account as they are giving out Softube Passive/Active pack for free until December 31, 2017
ontains:
Passive Equalizer
Active Equalizer
Focusing Equalizer
Nice little value added promotion

Certainly worth trying if you have a touchscreen. They are working on a Mac version, too. Rapture is excellent by any measure.Nobdi wrote:So next month CMs free "plugins" will be Sonar Home Studio and Rapture Sessions.
Any thoughts on this Sonar version ? Is it worth the try or too crippled to be usable ???

Computer Music 250, we get Rapture Session and Sonar Home Studio
Previously Computer Music has given away z3ta+ full version.
Me wonders, what is the link between CM and Cakewalk ?

Get similar from Izotope all the time - last time I looked they were trying to sell me the MPB crossgrade for $100 more than I bought it for 2 months back.glokraw wrote:Some departments get the sharp pencils, spam departmentNumanoid wrote:Offer I got from NI now:
