In v5 this per-plug-in setting will be removed entirely.
Thanks,

Hi. I'm confused by this. Perhaps you could clarify.musicdevelopments wrote: Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:15 pm All VST3 plug-ins are added as 'multi-timbral' that is multiple tracks can use the same plug-in instance, on different MIDI channels. The only difference is that non-multi-timbral instruments are not offered in the instrument menu as 'Instance of...'.
In v5 this per-plug-in setting will be removed entirely.
I might be wrong, but in the Track Inspector, don't you just choose/select the same instrument for the new track, and simply assign a different/desired MIDI Channel, according to the slot for the sound you want those notes to play.?sj1 wrote: Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:54 pm First, wrt. the way it is right now, if I AM using a single instance of a plugin, how/where do I set the different tracks that are sending notes to it to different MIDI channels so that the single (multi-timbral) plugin sounds each track differently as intended?

Here is a video showing the small lightnings in the Idea Tool failing to generate.

I've attached my file, in case that helps.
BTW, these problems persist in 4.6b6.

Hope I'm right, I think its how I've done it previously.
