you get the voucher by registering a product to your NI account. I do not believe that the vouchers are transferable.

(Some?) vouchers are transferable, I exchanged a piece of software for another users NI voucher and used it for buying a maschine expansion with no problem.

Some of the Sugar Bytes stuff is very tempting indeed. Hopefully the licenses are delivered via e-mail, or at the very least it is possible to make an order from outside the US, Sweden in my case, without too expensive s&h.

When I purchased Sugar Bytes' Effectrix from Guitar Center they sent a DVD case with a serial number card inside. Don't know if that's the way these sales will be handled just saying they used physical shipping in the past. I might have to repurchase Drumazon at that price after selling it on several years ago.......

I also purchased a few Toxic Biohazards for people outside of the U.S. and then simply e-mailed them the serial numbers when they arrived....so that might be an option.

I hope the GC sales are downloadable. MusiciansFriend appears to sell the downloads, so it seems like GC would as well, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Ditto, and same goes for Thesys. Unique has always intrigued me, so I might have to buy that one, too. So much for being fiscally responsible this month.

Musicians Friend sells downloads, but they do it by sending you a DVD case with a code to register it.

So, in other words, you've got to get something shipped to you to get the download.

This is my experience too. I bought the 909 clone from d16 from MF and they shipped a DVD case with a piece of cardboard in it containing a serial number and a link to download the software.

I contacted MusiciansFriend about the overall software sales
and they said they are bound to sell the items
as the developer requires to do so.

As pointless as it appears to be,
they have to send empty boxes with a serial inlay in the first place
like with sugar bytes sales and maybe others.

Maybe not so pointless when one think about
devs want to avoid sales outside the US, not sure.

Located in Germany, I feel doomed as well.

Cubase 7 + Halion 5 directly from Altomusic is about $350. Use the XMASINJULY coupon code.

Mine comes in Friday. I may end up keeping Halion, but siphoning off Cubase... We'll see.
