New 5150 model.

HighGain2 CD-dry-SIM_mp3.zip

Sorry for yousendit folks...

Thats rather like the amp should sound.
not like a CD production, but like a amp.

and

HighGain2 CD-matchAMP
(2 mp3 inside the zip)

1st the CD than the sim adjusted to match it.
The CD take has a room on it,
I did not add anything.
(pure sim)

You know what... I think I prefer the sim (on the CD-matchAMP version). I'll have to listen to it again tonight. It seems more precise... but that could be made on account of other parameters I don't know. Anyway I certainly dig the character.

Release it.
In the end will be the word.

Or at least drop us an ENGL Powerball CD-matchAMP to keep us waiting (though it'll never be enough he he).

Post

Yeah, Rene, what is the estimated release date?
I mean those mp3s are all good but there's nothing like playing the thing, only then we'll be able to judge it. Xmas Tube showed a lot of promise (though it really needs a serious bass notch at least with my Les Paul) and you can always improve things that are not 100% later with an update, which you'll have to deliver anyway.
Btw, the Powerball is a really great amp, I am seriously gassing for one. I am sure I'll never get as much satisfaction from playing a sim as I get from playing the real thing (moving air, sheer volume etc.) but I think we're getting closer...
So, please don't overdo it, maybe consider adding some additional models in an update (your user base will appreciate it) and make it happen :-)

cheers,

Niko

But, I did. hehe
The only thing was I could hear it before I bought it.
Bogner makes great amps !
Good choise. :)
CatBoy wrote: Amplitube and Native Instruments have legit reasons for charging so much.
They have payroll to meet, buildings to pay rent on,accountants etc.
I see this as a "side-project" for you and not your actual income. Is this true?
There are 4 people involved in this product by now,
it is NOT the one man band project anymore, that it was at the beginning.

At a certain point of the project, I needed to get
more people involved, to be able to put all the features into the amp I wanted.
Only because of this, the amp is getting a reality.

Edit: A "side-project", no, but there are 2 other VST products I am working on.
My actual income ?
Near zero income the last 3 years,
3 years, is the time I work on those projects now.
Crazy eh !?
I only live from my reserves since then.:?
Why so long ?
Because I want, when you go and spend your hard earned cash on my products,
you will get something outstanding that I am 100% happy with.
Untill that, there is no release.
CatBoy wrote: I own a couple virtual amps already and wouldnt mind adding yours to the collection just because I've seen you put in the work at this forum over several months.
But, at 250.00 you would lose my support.
$99 sounds much more applicable IMHO
Because of the reasons mentioned above,
$99 is simply impossible, but we are discussing the price isue at the moment.
CatBoy wrote: One question...is the amp midi capable?
Can you change presets via midi?
Yes, program change is no problem.
I did not add automation because I felt its not needed...
Ok, will add that to the most important knobs/buttons.

Thank you for your input ! :)
hm... I'm wondering how you manage to postpone the release for so long if there are at least three other persons waiting for their money...

what a great show this thread is... :hail: :hihi:

Anybody ready to take my bet that NOT A SINGLE PERSON EVER PAYS MONEY FOR THIS PLUGIN, EVER. EVER, EVER?

I don't believe that there will ever be a release; I believe that this entire thread is nonsense.

:hihi:
