Too busy getting their asses kissed by all the fanatic newbies that dont know any better. I know because I used to be one. I used to post things like "Reason is awsome, I would never switch to cubase no matter what" in the Reason forums back in the day haha. I was an idiot and didnt understand that there are better ways to deal with plug's without them looking like hardware.
So true. I was an idiot back then too and I said, "FL SUCKS COMPARED TO REASON, ALL YOU FL NOOBS HAHAHA" but now I respect FruityLoops because it's a host and Reason is not. I feel that Props is really ignoring all the new stuff that is coming out. Just look at their orchestra library. Just look at their sampler, the NN-XT. Take a look at their sequencer. And lasty, take a look at how many inputs there are in reason. Zero.

I've been using Reason for 3 years. Now I use Cubase with Reason. Maybe one day Reason will have audio inputs so we can use its effects for better things. Maybe we can one day use our own waves in Maelstrom.

But at the end of the day I've created some beautiful and original pieces with Reason which I am respected for.

I just drop a "fof" module into Reason's Csound wrapper module.

I wrote some good algorithms for it..
most of them just print "f**k off BONES" on the screen

..but still, pretty nifty

Wow. Just....wow.
BONES,
you should try reason and maybe then you'll have a clue of what it does. Attacking and cussing propellerheads for nuthin is just immature...and u're what? 40? wow. I need to meet people like you so that i learn not to become one in the future. I tried Orion too, and it felt like using a freebie sequencer. I can understand why its so cheap. But then, i dont go about crying that Orion is the worst ever. I respect the developer that made it. Its not for me, thats all.

I have Reason 2.5 and i'll upgrade to 3 very soon. The combinator is the bomb. Some person said that reason 3 should have like a feature where you have many devices and you just select a magic command that combines them all. FRom what i gather, reason 3 already has that. go to the props website for more on what reason can do. :-D

And for god's sake dont argue on why it cant host VSTs. the props are not fools. By having a closed system, it gives reason more stability. I remember seeing reason play a song in the midst of a computer lockup. I dont think any other program could do that. Simple, its FAR more stable than anything i've come across. It makes sense to have reason as a closed system.

Keeping your fingers crossed with the Propellerheads is like asking for Arthritis.

That request is 3 years old. Or as old as the Maelstrom itself.

Actually I think it was even in the FAQ's of Maelstrom at one point. The Props sayd that it was 'too difficult' to create wave tables for Malestrom so thats why it didnt have that feature. They sayd it wasnt a matter of just loading waves into it. I'll try to find the article.
