Probably not the right forum but what the hell...

It really is an incredible piece of software.

Combinator is amazing - just going through the some of the many patches & all are good. Most are far better than that and really inspiring.

The "sound per cpu cycle" is pretty much unmatched.

Scrolling through the presets and you get not a single audio glitch on unloading / loading of next patch. Puts alot of VSTi's (and probably some VSTi hosts) to shame.

I know it's not comparing like with like but the smoothness of chpooing and changing settings is really nice.

And the Remote technology...just perfect. Smooth 2 way communication between Reason and hardware controllers. Actually it's almost too good...my new BCF motorised faders are getting a right work out as every time you cycle to a new device preset the sliders zip to the new positions.

The main parameter knobs on the master Combinator panel are automatically assigned sensibly to knobs / sliders of the midi controllers. So you just load and go.

I really hope this sort of Remote technology finds it's way into other software studios e.g. FLS 6.

Anyway I'm going back to play it with it now :)

What was the point of this post? If you like reason alot, tell propellerhead, not us. Yeah, and it is in the wrong forum. Oh, and Fruityloops Studio is much better. I've had substantial experience with both, and I have concluded that you can just simply do more with FL Studio. Really, consider FL Studio. Download the demo, spend a few days with it, see what you end up liking more.

Reason is VERY easy to learn, which can be a good thing if you're in a hurry, but it takes a much longer time to make a song than with Fruityloops Studio. FL Studio is a very complex virtual studio, so it might take you a while to learn, but trust me, it will be more than worth it. Really, I think the whole "Reason is the pro tool and FL is a toy" should be switched around. People need to start realizing what FL Studio can REALLY do, and what Reason REALLY can't.
Developers Developers...

agreed: FlStudio is much better

Funny cause I could not really make pieces in Fruity cause it's pattern based (great for loops) but in Reason they just poured out. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and in the real world I now only use E-XT...

Let the flame war begin :x :hihi:

alargechicken, SHUT UP. This forum is filled with raves about specific products, and many of us find them to be extremely informative. I like to read what people are or aren't into, if you don't, that's fine you don't have to take part in this or any discussion.

Excuse me, but what was the point on your post? The guy simply wanted to announce his love for the program and you go on about FruityLoops which in my opinion is no comparison with Reason, they are two totally different beasts. It's not about which is a "pro tool" or which is a "toy", it's about what they do for each individual.

Last time I checked you can't fully rearrange the architecture of Fruity Loops with your own CV configurations like you can in Reason. Does FruityLoops come with an integrated sampler as great as NN-XT? They're simply different.

Why is it in the wrong forum ?
Reason ISN'T a host.
It can be used like a modular patched instrumental environment also.
I also see no mention of Fruity in his post either or maybe I'm blind ?
So what's with all the squaking like a headless chook.
Atleast when I look at Reason I don't ask myself "Is it a Steggels ? " :hihi: .

So what size are you a No.7 ?

Freerange or Battery ?

So many questions so little time.

please, please, folks calm down. Both have their pluses and minuses. I know a lot of people who can make a lot of stuff w/Reason, but when they are faced w/FL studio, can't do shit. and vice versa.

THe man was proclaiming his love and we resepct that.

Well slap me with a wet sponge. :hihi:
Though saying you'd like to see features like the Remote Technology added to Fruity 6 hardly seems like a put down of the app.
Then again this is KVR which is dyselxic for "read between the lines what you will"

I caved in and upgraded to Reason 3.0 not too long ago and I've regreted it ever since. What I really wanted is Reason 3.5 which is due out in 2015.
As a Tracktion, EXT user, Reason 3 gives me almost nothing. Except some nice presets and samples ect. And some "mastering" effects which I cant even use to master audio outside of Reason anyways. Unless I load a wave into the sampler which is retarded. Meh. All that wiring and stuff was cool when I bought Reason 1, but I find it too finicky now that I use EXT and Tracktion to do modular stuff. I dont know what I was thinking up grading from 2.5.
