That solution is...energyXT. Open a couple instances of Freeamp in the main window, adjust each as desired, put whatever you like between them.ingsoc wrote:If there's already a solution to #2 I'd love to be clued in.

Have FreeAmp in pieces right now! Going through each component of it, but keep getting side-tracked with every new component I finish
The new gates made me look back to the synths I have been working on for years now
And YES the clean amps are my next project
Happy holidays all

Hey FS!! Good to hear from you again!
Can't wait to try the new bass synth. Is it a remake of the current bass synth or all new?
Fender amps are always a good target for clean sound IMO.
Happy Holidays to you, too!

A new bass synth would be awesome. I've just recently put your "helian 2nd bass" plugin into a song I've been working on and it sounds really good. I should've tried it a long time ago.FrettedSynth wrote:Still alive here

IMHO it is the best I have done yet? consistant 3ms latency and very tight on the attack
should have it on the site in a couple days?

Maybe a little off topic but I'd like to put in a plug for the Helian Bass sims. I've always thought it would be neat if you could plug in cabnet impulses similar to Boogex.
Regardless their the best way I know to punch up a whimpy bass line.

I like to use them with a bass myself! :) They are a very nice sound indeed. Some way back on this thread we were assured of the Helian basses being featured in Freeamp 3. *falls off stool*

Update to GCBS, many things changed and many things added! the dynamics of this one make me feel close to playing the real thing "a bass" Finished the presets last night, just have to go through and check for bugs and type a quick "how to" then hope that asseca can get it on the site before the holiday?guitarzan wrote: Can't wait to try the new bass synth. Yep! have not crossed it off the list yet, will not leave it out of the next release.guitama wrote: Some way back on this thread we were assured of the Helian basses being featured in Freeamp 3
And thanks for the nice feedback about the bass sims

I skipped through alot of the previous posts, so forgive me if my requests have already been covered.
1: A Tuner. I do have a couple of tuner plugins that I currently use, but it would be nice to have one built in. It would save space on my monitor, alleviate the need to toggle between Freeamp and the tuner, and it would just be one less plugin open.
2: Warmer distortion tones. I know this one has been covered. I really like the clean tones and effects in Freeamp, but the distortions dont do it for me. Until I hear a convincing tube distorion (a burly one, at that), I will continue using my actual amplifier. The existing ones sound too harsh and thin. More like static than warm, thick distortion. For a good idea of the type of tone I'd love to hear, check out the band Giant Squid, who use Orange Ampliers.
3: It would be very nice to be able to bypass the amp circuit and speaker sim so as to use only the effects. Currently, I use Freeamp when I am demoing song ideas at home on the computer. Live however, I would like to run my amp's effects line through Freeamp's effects. The problem now is that the speaker sim is always on, as is the amp sim. This adds coulors and distortion to my tone. The ability to bypass the amp and speaker circuits would alleviate this issue, and allow me to use Freeamp's effects in a live setting.
4: Perhaps a looper? I am just learning how to use Mobius for loops, but it could be a bit intimidating for some users. Perhaps a simple, easy to use looper would be nice. Unlimited record time and unlimited overdubs would be incredible.
5: The ability to load up two different amp setups and either use both at once, switch between two of them, or mix their signals in realtime would be awesome. This request is based solely on Guitar Rig's ability to do this. I do realize that Freeamp is intended to be a different beast all together from GR. Just a suggestion. I suppose the same could be done by running two instances of Freeamp and using the host to do the switching.
I cant wait to hear the results of your labor once Freeamp 3 is ready. Good Luck

For the new version I am\will compare with various real amps for the final version.
1 - I doubt I will add a tuner internal, still have a lot to learn there, but will as it will help the synths.Rickvallone wrote: 1: A Tuner

2 - Yep! that was the reason I started all the amps again from scratch, Think I will add the origanal amps in a seperate bank though? I still dig some of the tones.
3 - Bypass will be added for amp, Eq and speakers.
4 - Umm! I will try? should be possable.
5 - Yep! and I hope to take that way past just two seperate amps switched\panned! I am working on making the two amps crossfade-able by the input level?
You bet! Have all kinds of fun ideas for the UI, was hoping you would askGrymmjack wrote: is it gonna need new clothes?
Brad good holidays to you also, lost your mail about the sample playback guitar synth, Yep! still planned for the future but the damn pitch tracking still aint good enough.
When will it be done? I have no idea at this point but it is alive and well
Peace, hope to have the bass synth on the site by the weekend.
