Aside from the width issue, I like the new look. I've always liked the colours here and continue to... big fan of darker muted shades on screen.

The header to "Latest Additions to the Plug-in Database" is awkward. It would be better if it read, "Plug-in Database Additions". Just use the column as it normally would be used, featuring the latest plug-ins. Folks would understand. You could also use dates, but I don't think it's necessary.
Starting to look really good, btw.

Yes, it's improving gradually... Now, sneak an inch off the left and right margins and hand them to the forum post area and it'd be fine. (In fact let the forum post area be variable width with small fixed left/right margins and the right-hand link-bars and it'd probably be perfect.)

And if the font for the titles of the Latest Reviews and Latest Plugin Additions etc were changed from bold white to bold "light-grey" that would be good.Glassback wrote:Wahay! At least the blinding white 'Latest' boxes have been toned down.
oh, and no need for the bold underline when you hover over them.

Was just saying that very thing to Big Karma, as it happens.
Seems a logical solution to me (if the posting area was centralised as well).

I hate the collapsible news page. It makes browsing the news painfully slow and awkward. The old news page with text and anchors was very clear and quick to browse. Fancy is not better than functional.

Sorry, but I personally don't like the new look at all. It does not scale with the browser size. On my 1900x1200 Monitor it looks too tight.

I'm still using an almost 10 year old Nokia.

besides, I think this layout is ten times more slick....
once they fix the variable width, all will be good.
The darker colors are much easier on the eyes.
its a nice page. Its very classy looking. why would anybody want to belong to a slut community?
gearslut?
arrg.
This is much better...
I used to think the internet was going to unite mankind. Now I realize the internet is perhaps mankinds greatest wasteland of bickering, greed, and narrow minds. " And we all shine on, " Imagine that.

At least the previous alternating blue and black backgrounds were not as unattractive as the current previous blue now alternating with a truly incompatible blueish color. What the hell...the old site worked just fine. It wasn't broken, so why "fix" it.Lance wrote:I like it.Despite I use a 20" widescreen monitor with 1680×1050.
Now I'd like something new colour scheme too, as an alternative to this ugly blueish one.
I liked KVR only for its unmatched informativeness and usefulness, but it was ugly in design and it's still ugly in its colour scheme.

Well, gotta give credit when it's due, and short of the narrowness & leftiness of the forums, the rest is coming along nicely.

This new look gets uglier the more I look at it.....it's a mess. What in Gods name was the person/people responsible for it thinking about?
'EDIT'
In fact, after posting this, I'll ignore every thread where I need to scroll, it's just too annoying as it is now

Meh. I use my Nokia for speaking and for an occasional SMS. For forum browsing I use a monitor and for that purpose the forum layout is too narrow.bmanic wrote:As a heavy mobile phone internet user I have to say that the new layout is much MUCH better than the old. It works extremely well with Opera Mini 4 beta and Nokia's web browser.

Personally, I'm glad the doo doo brown background is gone. I hope it stays gone. The new color scheme is much more vibrant than the old acid washed/sun washed look. The text in all of the tables just pops out now. Looks and feels much, much better, imo.eduardo_b wrote:At least the previous alternating blue and black backgrounds were not as unattractive as the current previous blue now alternating with a truly incompatible blueish color.
