Lemme get this straight, this product essentially has ZERO WARRANTY because the instant you access it for playing beyond its wrapping, you have officially voided the warranty? They're kidding, right? I did see mention of this above but I assumed it was a misunderstanding or a joke. I'm sure that would never hold muster with the Attorney General of California. Who'd be crazy enough to buy any product with no warranty?
State laws do not respect stickers, and store managers like repeat customers, so I
doubt there will be many issues. Stickers are usually meant to bluff teens who broke
their new toy when stoned/drunk/stupid, but that only happens on weekdays and week-ends.
Cheers :)

I've attempted to cancel my order via email, but they refuse any response after 4 days. Of course, THEY DON'T HAVE A TELEPHONE so that's not really an option. Any suspicions I had that this product and the company behind it are less than scrupulous have been confirmed. I believe this is what back in the 1930's they use to call a "fly by night" operation. I suspect I'll have to take legal action to get my money back. Good luck to the rest of you!

Getting the gears of law turning early is wise, but even a big established company
in Germany, is legendary for losing, failing to receive, or ignoring emails, having
deaf robots on the phoneline, and losing orders in both the dark of night, and the
bright illumination provided freely here at KVR. Hopefully, you'll get your
guitar, then they cancel your order, then the bank refunds your account, and nobody
can figure out who has guitar #714 or whatever it is.
and everyone is happy :hihi:

Ok, this is either good news (yeah, right) or very ominous news:

I went into my order page where they say "cancel my order" but they won't let you anymore! You get a warning at the bottom that reads:

NOTE: This order has already shipped or has reached the final stages of processing. Therefore this order is no longer editable.

Meaning you can't cancel it anymore! This would inevitably be true for all you guys since I ordered way after you. But has the company said they are shipping? No, they haven't. They euphemistically call it "final stages of processing". WTF does that mean other than "we're taking your money and won't give it back, but not obligated to send you anything for the time being."

Perhaps more ominously, you can no longer reach via email. No, I'm not kidding. Got to this page and click "How do I contact you?" in the lower right...

https://www.inspiredinstrumentsinc.com/help.asp

It takes you to a little blurb about the company. NO EMAIL ADRESS IF OFFERED. Zilch. Zip. Nada. And that's the only place they offer any contact info, and there isn't any. So at this time, there is literally no way to contact the company other than giving them your money.

I would encourage any of you who have their order in to be aware that this company MAY, and I emphasize MAY be less than they appear. Protect yourself.

Maybe they're shipping and we'll all be happy with our products soon. I hope that is the case. But there are too many red flags here. Way too many.

Indeed - they do appear to begin shipping YRG this week:

This is no MIDI-life crisis - we are ready to start rocking.

The back order list should be filled by the end of next week. We start shipping at the end of the week. We will also post the new web site, revised e-comm site and PR about the completion of 3 major initiatives within the company. If you do not have a You Rock Guitar on order and you would like one anytime soon, my suggestion is to get on the back-order list, we are shipping from the order on the list.

I'm pretty excited that delivery time is nearing. I don't have a clue what to expect, and I don't ask much but a comfortable feel.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, frankly. There have been no reliable reviews so far.

Interesting they yanked their email contact link, the only way on Earth to reach the company, in the same week they're "shipping the product".

Maybe they are shipping, but this is one flaky company. Don't get me wrong folks, I'd love to have this all work out just fine for all of us. And I don't expect the midi output to be perfect and track like a $4500 Ztar or anything. As long as it basically tracks and responds reasonably well for midi inputting I'll be satisfied.

I'm just concerned about these various big red flags popping up all around. I was involved as a victim along with many others in an internet scam years and years ago, and when the hammer comes down, it comes down late and with no warning. And as in this case, there were touters online constantly pumping up the company with cheery, positive reports. Guys on the take.

So word to the wise, pay attention to developments this week. There is cause for concern.

Finally got a response after almost 5 days to my polite inquiries about why a hold was placed on my account. Since I never got a response in the intervening time, I cancelled my order. Still no response for days.

Finally an hour ago, a "Kevin Kent" from YRG (or Ill or whatever the company calls itself) issued a bizarre email diatribe against me which was made all the more bizarre by half of it being pleadings about his stressful life:

"My wife has been in and out of surgery this past month and very ill, my son was in the baseball play-off's, my eldest is graduating from college..."

I mean, look, frankly this is the kind of human stuff I can respond to. Hey dude, that's cool, let's just get this whole mess straightened out. Right? Everybody has problems, I can relate. You guys would do the same.

But instead, in the same email, he let loose against me in this nasty hate-filled rant which I guess was coming from his personal issues. Good grief. It was truly ugly, this dude has major issues.

Anyways, he CLAIMS they are cancelling my order (along with all this sick, personal hate spew thrown in). We'll see. Holy cow, I am so glad to be free of this psycho operation. These guys are truly nuts!

And now I can sit back and read the reviews and pick one up on eBay for half-price. Life is good. Best to y'all, caveat emptor. Life's too short.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a horribly put together scam.

It sounds like 'Kevin' is having a tough time but he still has no excuse to rail on a potential customer, especially when most are questioning his product's legitimacy.

Here's hoping though. If the guitar lives up to the claims, I'm sure this bad press will be quickly forgotten.

With the amount of early buyers in this forum we'll all know in two weeks or less.

Very True.
In my account page at Inspire, I captured this;

May I ask, whoever receives their "shipping e-mail", write us here showing your state/city and your order number?

Thanks.

sadly yes, but i have been through the whole
process, which has been very exciting, reviewed user manual, sounds, headstock
and things has undoubtly been quite a challenge for
inspired instruments. I am also frustrated
but I rather prefer this finish and well tested
product than the product that was "ready" to ship November last year!!
But now I really want it!! 8)
